Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

I pass by Dalton on the way to ATL regularly. There are much better exits besides that one.

Back along time ago (in the 1980s) when me & some co-workers went to the the Atlanta 500 ... the dude driving got pulled over in Dalton for driving too fast. Took all of us down to the city jail to ask questions. I'v always heard stories about Dalton being a speed trap on I-75 to Atlanta. Thought I'd ask about it.

There's a fun discussion in a Netflix thread in the Pub with some people claiming that theft of Netflix services (by sharing passwords with non-household members) is justified. It's amazing the amount of mental gymnastics that people will go through to justify theft.

Our online application system won't accept one from anyone under 21 and I just happened to take a call from a kid looking for a job when he gets out of the Army next month. He turns 21 in a few weeks so I went to my stickler for rules HR manager and told her to email the guy an application. It may be perverse but I get a bit of joy out of seeing that head about to explode look on her face.

Rules are a guideline made to be sidestepped!

More like a challenge. People should have learned as kids that when you put a rule in place others see it as something to break. The irony is they might never have felt the need before the rule ... it's like the mosquito and bug zapper attraction.

I need people around me that are rule followers, otherwise I'd get in trouble.

When did Eric Berry start playing baseball? Talk about a de-cleater.

Now that's something to spice up baseball. Of course, I think professional golf would be better if merged with skeet shooting. All games need a good defensive element or they become offensively offensive.

if I buy an unlimited amount of breadsticks, let other people eat some, are they stealing?

The "stolen" item has been paid for.
