I appreciate the symbolism, and I think it will work for them.

That alumni base has some deep pockets. Product of their elite business school…Wharton of the Midwest. I don’t see them as being top echelon if they have their NIL ducks in a row, but it’ll elevate them into that next tier imo. They’ve been a solid transfer destination for top high school QBs who didn’t pan out for P5 schools. Now they might be 1st option for the JT Daniels types.

Taking Lane personally about UT is like taking it personally when the IRS takes money from you. It's the nature of the beast.

Lane has an unhealthy need to be the center of attention. He'll do the stupidest thing to be the center of attention.

He's a middling head coach at a fairly irrelevant school in the backwoods of Mississippi. UT is nothing more than a vehicle to try to be the center of attention.

Pity the man and move on.

Why pity the man? He is the cause of all his own angst. Be grateful to him for leaving Tennessee. That’s the only redeeming quality and action that he has had as far as I know…

Wouldn’t “I pity the fool” be more appropriate here?
