President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

It's our strategic reserves in the event of a catastrophe. They shouldn't even be using it. I doubt they have a plan to replenish the inventory. I hope I'm wrong. You have to question if it's intentional for some undetermined reason.

Yes, I agree that releasing the strategic reserves simply to lower consumer prices is idiotic.

LOL. Twice. Nice catch. To your point, we had an engineering grad at the bowling center working as a mechanic. Took him over a year to secure a full-time job and just left us. He was an odd sort though. I bid good luck to his new empoyer and hope I never have to experience anythng he works on. Then again he can't finish tasks without getting side tracked by his own feet. Prob 98% of TnTech engineering grads have jobs waiting on them, at hte worst, by hte beginning of their last semester.

I'm a UT engineering grad, but my youngest son picked TN Tech. He made a great choice; I liked what I saw of the school and students. I think you'll find more engineering types there who have worked on cars or farm equipment or other hardware there than say UT or certainly Vandy. It's not just the education; the background experience dabbling in hardware and electronics is what makes the best engineers, and fewer and fewer kids are getting a lot of that hands on experience - the feel of things that you can't get from a book, a lecture, or a computer screen. Tech had a far better coop program than what UT had when I was there; my son had a job at Arnold (AF test facility where he cooped) before graduation.

Every bridge that's collapsed over the past 75+ years was designed by a college graduate.

Revenge of the nerds is headed your way. Anyway don't forget contracts generally go to the lowest bidder - that means the engineering, labor, and the materials - as dictated by management and bean counter types. One other thing - don't ever glorify traffic and highway design types with the term "engineer". The people who screw up transportation all across the country could break an anvil with a rubber hammer.

Again, it's a global commodity. Every drop of oil on the world market helps lower the price here.
I think it gets back to the fact that it’s an inappropriate use of the strategic oil reserves. They are there to insure we have a ready reserve in times of shortage for use in strategic applications. They are not for use as political capital to ease the idiot in chiefs bad polling numbers and to ease gas prices as the pump.

Either are paying off student loan debts, but that doesn't stop a democrat from a bad idea.

I'll leave this here:

That's the crazy part. If Russian oil is being pumped and sold anywhere like China or India, then it still essentially goes into the global bucket just as much as our oil or OPEC oil and fills global demand. If China's demand is down because of covid lockups that frees demand (unless they are storing it). There's a lot that doesn't make sense other than market speculation. Now if Ukraine decided to blow up the Russian NG pipelines running through Ukraine - that would change things, and I don't understand why Ukraine hasn't threatened Putin with that - their own "nuclear option".

I'm a fairly recent UT Grad in engineering, and I can attest that the engineering program is basically all math these days. You get a few labs but it's in a controlled environment. You're not really having to actually engineer anything. The senior design project is the only time you actually get to engineer something and even that is very limited in scope.

Basically, co-op or internship experience is required these days because the curriculum itself doesn't prepare you well enough.

The pictures are priceless.

The president of the United States has a fictional Easter Bunny acting as his handler to keep him from saying something stupid. It’s unbelievable.
It was amazing that 'the Bunny' got in front of him twice to herd him back to his human handlers. How can ANY of you lefties support this clown? Luther? LG? CWV? If I had voted for him I would be wearing a paper bag around town.

You have to think the 81M are either anonymous, fictional, or both; but they certainly are legends in the minds of joe and the dems. They should be wearing plastic bags over their heads - preferably cinched at the neck.

I'm not sure they can print enough fake ballots or find enough dead people to lopside the ass kicking he's going to get in 24.

But just as I say that, Democrats are saying "hold my White Claw..."

They used to say “hold my Zima”, they’ve sunk even lower as impossible as that seems.
