The Atlanta Braves

I still can’t get my head around that one; especially when that guy doesn’t really run all that great.
Get a guy on base, give an opportunity to drive in runs, give him an opportunity to start an inning with 1 out instead of 2, get him an extra 10-15 ABs per year, there are a lot of reasons. The universal DH knocking the auto out off the bottom makes it even more of a no brainer. Ronald-Olson-Riley-Ozuna-Ozzie will be wild. Hopefully snit doesn’t fk it up.

Im talking about this…
Snit isn’t a very good manager. He hasn’t been fired because Freddie freeman, who despite whatever your opinion is, held A TON of significance in this organization and strongly went to bat for brain snitker to GET THE JOB to begin with and to keep it. He is no longer on the team and snitker no longer has anyone on the player side vouching for him.

Your lack of reading comprehension is not my problem.

My lack of reading comprehension? Maybe if you added this context with your post we wouldn’t be talking about players vouching for a coach rather than making it seem like Freddie was vital to the clubhouse which is why we are losing right now.

Also F snit who cares if Freeman vouched for him

It’s our own fans, Olsen is killing the ball right now and we have “Brave fans” on here wondering if the clubhouse took a hit with his departure when it was his fault he left to begin with. Makes absolutely no sense…
I can only speak for myself - it isn't being a doomer, it's just wondering what the long-term psychological/leadership impact of him leaving is. Just an interesting topic of conversation. It isn't like I'm worried about guys being depressed over it, and I don't think they are struggling right now because of it. Senior/important people have left the company I work for over the years and it has an impact on people. It's just something a lot of people can relate to.

I, and I don't think anybody else in the thread, expressed concern about a drop-off in actual production once Olson was signed. Even I didn't totally believe it at first, but you can argue that Olson actually had a better year last year than Freddie did, and he's 4 years younger.

?

I wanted the Braves to move on from Freeman and trade for Olson days before it actually happened. Maybe don’t airdrop into a yearslong conversation and rant and rave about context.

Just a poor choice of words on your part but you can deny it all you want

I think the idea was Ronnie/Olson/Riley from the get go, so might as well put those two in their spots now. The idea I’m thinking now is putting Ozzie at cleanup in front of Ozuna. Gives 1-5 perfect balance, might give Ozzie more ABs against LH pitching also.

If Coppy didn’t get fired Snit would have been gone anyways. AA just didn’t want to do a manager change coming in blind, we won the East and the rest is history.

Freeman had a classy interview with Kelly Crull saying that he loved the Braves and the fan base before the game last night.

I would give Newcomb a shot when Ynoa's turn comes around again and stick Ynoa in the bullpen.
