No that’s your argument. The context has clearly been the Russia military is incompetent. A side point was offered that they haven’t won anything on their own in a very long time. And you’ve flailed around trying to make a case they have won on their own merits. And absolutely nobody is buying it

A point was made that Russia had not won anything. I mentioned that they had in fact won a few. WWII came up. I mentioned that Russia won their theater. I made no mention of their prowess or skill at war, just that they won.
edit: nor did I say they won on their own merits. You should read my comments again.

No the point was made they haven’t won a stand alone war as reference to their lack of military competence. You are trying to claim otherwise. And failing. They have won nothing on their own merits.

Precisely, the point was they are militarily incompetent and very little about WW2 changes that. My original point was talking about the modern Russian military and unless he is going to resurrect General Zhukov it is irrelevant to the discussion. He brought up WW2 as if Russia’s role in it was anything more than cannon fodder for the Germans. They employed very few competent tactics which does nothing to dispel those basic facts.

Reading comprehension can be your friend if you let it. I said 'the regional conflicts I mentioned'. WWII was not a regional conflict. If you go back farther in the thread you will see I mentioned some regional conflicts that Russia has won post-Afghanistan.

You are trying to assert these “regional conflicts” as some silly assertion they are defeating a peer adversary in a stand alone conflict. My comprehension is fine. You are not succeeding.
