I had no idea that Ukraine was massing an attack on the Donbas. Plus, there was also an agreement made by the Ukranians with the West to join NATO that was secretly made in Novemeber/December 2021. All any of us had to go by was what was being reported and what was being said openly at the time.

And based off of their initial advances and their original strategy, I still stand by that. They had no desire to go into Ukraine and just rip that country apart, which is why Kiev and Odessa are relatively quiet (up until the last 48 hours). Things have stepped up in the last 2 days, however.

Get your laughs in right now, sir. But over the next few months and years, the long term effects (if we are lucky) will be economic collapse in the West thanks to these ridiculous sanctions. Also, the situation on the ground will be revealed sooner rather than later. And I would expect you to have the same zeal and energy that you have right now to admit that Russia won this in convincing fashion.

Russia has plenty of energy and commodity resources to exchange with anyone they want. If you would get your emotions and feelz out of your mind, you would be able to see that. Russia also carries very little external debt compared to the US or Western European countries already. So borrowing isn't a critical component of their economy. Can we say the same?

NATO, and in particular the US and UK, have had a desire to agitate Russia and return to the good ole days of the 1990s when they had Yeltsin and the ability to drain Russia dry just like Biden, Pelosi, Romney and the rest have been doing to Ukraine.

These people don't give 2 sh^^s about Ukraine or their sovereignty. This is just a way for them to maintain their money draining operation and a way to stage NATO weapons closer to Russia in preparation for a future war.

An exchange requires two parties. Russia is a pariah and if you’d get your head out of Putin’s ass you’d see that too. They will have to be self sustaining because nobody but China will touch them. And China knows that and will exploit their position.

You won’t acknowledge it but the way of life and daily comforts of the average Russian citizen have gone down the toilet and won’t be coming back anytime soon. You’re thus far batting 0.000 on how things would go.

Russia is isolated and has no trading partner other than China to provide the goods and services it needs. And China doesn’t have all the expertise. Russia just lost all of their oil industry professional services. They will grind to a halt over time.

Or if I saw people waving Syrian or Libyan flags in a show of support for those countries and the BS we put those countries through.

They might HAVE been. Putin did the one thing I thought would never happen, he reawakened them (not the WOKE you meant I am sure). Recently returned from a visit there. They are more United and determined than I have ever seen them. The Germans especially are riled up. Even the GREEN PARTY is backing rearmament on a massive skill. And the Swedes and Finns, didn’t make it to Scandinavia on this trip but…..wow. When THEY start seriously considering joining NATO. Vlad has kicked a hornets nest, and kicked it good.

We didn't exactly send roses to Fallujah and Mosul. And Serbia. And Hue, certainly Hue. To be accurate Russia hasn't yet inflicted the damage on Ukrainian cities that we have on some of our adversaries' cities.

Russia is the largest wheat exporter in the world and the second largest weapons exporter. At least from what I've read. They will continue to have plenty of trading partners. As a matter of fact they have still been trading with other countries this whole time people have been outraged on this thread
