Other than Quincy Riley and Bru McCoy, I wonder who else we are still pursuing in the portal? Are we still looking for another Edge or DL? Or another LB? More secondary? After missing on Steen, are we looking at any other OL? Less than 3 weeks until the deadline to be in the portal and be eligible for next season. Would be nice to see more talent in the portal by then.

And you’re right. Saban will always go get better players. Not sure why we’re arguing lol.

I know camps aren't over yet, but with less than 3 weeks to the deadline, I keep hoping for this Spring influx of talent I was told was going to happen.

Which is hard to argue when you see inconsistent strike zones.

But it still doesn't justify hitting them.
I don't know about that...IF...they are bent and cheating kids...then yeah they deserve to get theor ass whupped.

Please notice the giant IF...

You can tell when umps are just having an off game because it will generally even out...they are just making horrible calls on both teams. I don't believe in coincidences...IF...the garbage calls are mostly helping one team....then there is shady 💩 going on.

My son middle school basketball team was in their district championship game against Fyffe, and the ref was making garbage call after garbage call against our boys. It turns out (I didn't know it at the time because we were not from there) that the ref making all the garbage calls went to school at Fyffe...we lost by one in overtime after he called a ghost foul on our Center with one second left in regulation, they hot one free throw to tie it, and then he did the exact same thing with five seconds left in overtime...they hit both free throws and won.

Yeah...that guy deserved to get his ass whooped.

What sucks is seeing players from other SEC programs hitting the portal and knowing we can't pursue them, at least not to be eligible for next season. With established deadlines, I think waivers will be harder to get, assuming they still give them. I would think it would have to involve a program getting sanctioned, or a family medical emergency. Before the passing of the one-time transfer rule, they seemed to be laxing the rules for waivers, but I doubt that will be true anymore.

Truthfully, I think the SEC having a different deadline than the NCAA is kind of dumb. Why not just have a set May 1st deadline, intraconference or not?
