I just remember him bad mouthing Knoxville and saying he was only umpiring for airfare to go back to TX. Wasn’t impressed.

Assume wooden bats are 3 or 4 ounces heavier with slightly smaller barrel/sweet spot?

No. Wood bats can be 31oz -32.5in. Their just more end heavy and not as balanced as a hollow metal bat. I would swing a 31oz 34inch aluminum but I would shorten a Wood bat slightly to make it more balanced but kept the same weight.
