The Official #1 Tennessee vs Tennessee Tech Tuesday Game Thread (6:30PM EST) (SEC NETWORK +)

I remember old Bill Meyers Stadium. I went to every home game one summer when Carlos Delgado was a catcher. I also saw the Michael Jordan game.

Back then, downtown Knoxville was dead and the Old City was in someone’s imagination. I suspect Randy Boyd sees the influx of downtown residents as a huge plus. I hate it for the people up there, but I’ll be glad it’s back. I wonder how it will fare after the new-ness wears off, but it is what it is.
I saw them back when they were Knox Sox

I also remember Bill Meyers Stadium downtown and what was then the Knoxville Blue Jays.

Did these announcers go to Tech? That ball was outside. He was clearly safe. Why are these announcers pulling for Tech?

Oh sorry, game hasn't yet started.
The “chip on our shoulder” crowd actually believes that Chris “All American” Burke hates us! You can’t make this up!!!! 😀. Burke bleeds Orange, paid for the baseball film room, and will soon have his # retired at UT. He’s a national baseball announcer—not a UT homer on a local network! The guy is first class and loves UT!
