War in Ukraine

Which raises a sincere question. Are you so gung ho pro Vlad because that's being loyal to Trump, or what? Everything you post is pro Russian, everything. There's no objectivity at all, just a stream of apologetics and propoganda. I mean a lot are pro-Ukraine but know that they've got their own serious flaws.

I'm not loyal to Trump nor Putin. Again, what I post may seem pro-Russia because of the fake news pro-Ukrainian narrative that most in this thread propagate. Russia has many flaws, but I think they have come a long way in the last 30 years and our policy of provocation and isolation, pushing them to China, is foolish. Russia is rich with resources.

We all know you want Russia to win and the West look bad. There is no need to link Tweets that say the exact same thing, just come out and say it.

I want 2 things, the conflict to end as quickly as possible (if that means Russia controlling all or part of Ukraine or if it means Russia tucking tail and running home, it makes no difference to me) and keep US forces out of it.

Thanks for answering

Depends what kind of weapon it is. Some can be off by 25 meters, yet still vaporize everything within 150 meters. On an AC-130 their old (not sure if its newer now) laster target designator (LTR) could f#ck you up on its on by it painting you on the ground from the sky. Then of course there was the inevitable explosive 105 shell landing within 10 meters of you which would finish the job.
Eh I wasn’t really talking Daisy Cutters here 🤷‍♂️

This has been from the very beginning a Hollywood/Operation Mockingbird program. The blending of media, Deep State talking points and entertainment during this conflict has been on Level 1000. An actor playing a president in Ukraine and a geriatric senile guy that can barely read a teleprompter as POTUS are going to lead us to WWIII... and the sheeple are eagerly lining up behind the effort.

I really dont get the Russian hate. Are most of these posters boomers who lived through the cold war? I mean I am in my early 40s but I guess I missed the "hate Russia" programming.
It is a few Boomers and late Gen Xers like myself that still hold on to both their hate for anything Russian and they hold on to these distorted views about what Russia is today... which explains their miscalculations about the Russian economy and their ability to nullify sanctions. They still hold on to this illusion of what Russia looked like under Yeltsin in the 1990s (a gas station with nukes)... basically teetering on 3rd World status.

These people also, dangerously, do not have a reverse gear nor will they back down from their current strategy, I am afraid. They will likely argue that the US and The West need to save face and not show weakness by removing sanctions or by having serious negotiations with Russia to resolve their security concerns. Pride and hubris are clouding their judgements... not sure where all of this pride comes from, however, considering all of the foreign policy debacles that we have had over the last 60+ years.

Zelenskyy is more educated than Ronald Reagan. The video is in extremely poor taste. Meanwhile russian media is literally calling for genocide.

Well, the Russians have already been defeated in north central Ukraine, so they failed there. They will also have failed royally to get Ukraine to disarm. After this is all over Ukraine will likely build a massive army and air force with top notch technology from the west to prevent this from happening again. Maybe Ukraine will even take back Crimea someday once they gather a large army? Finland and Sweden also openly talking about joining NATO.

I guess the consolation prize for Putin is whatever he can get out of the Far eastern areas, but overall (especially over time) this will have been a great strategic failure.

Much like cloud and blockchain has demonstrated the survivability and resilience of distributed systems, the next wave of war is likely to be the remotely (and auto) piloted swarm. The killer crock is giving way to the piranha.

Imagine a swarm of 100 cheap disposable drones with a range of 100 miles and 3 hour fly time and 1 kg payload, guided by a grid of high flight rotating observational drones and supported by 2 reaper drones for hardened targets. The swarm flies low to ground, cant be detected by most radar and is perfectly synced to the rest of the swarm. Once at their target, they explode in unison - followed by ordinance from Reapers for any surviving targets. OR the swarm can disperse in groups of 2 or 10 to follow after any moving or heat signature, though doorways and buildings. Artificial Intelligence paired a with human control team that could be 1000 miles away as long as there is a local launch team. Essentially, a flying smart cluster bomb.

Nothing will survive this robotic swarm, neither armor nor infantry. It is almost impossible to target any single device and each can be replaced with ease. That is the future - and it is very VERY close.

In apparent world first, IDF deployed drone swarms in Gaza fighting

Here you have 300 drones that can think for themselves - Darpa is testing them in TN. The US Military's Future: Waves of Killer Drone Swarms

And this is how the robots take over.

To “want it to end as quickly as possible” is a stupid thing to want.

There are better results and worse results possible. If the better result takes more time, then so be it.

Well stated. Putin today basically says negotiations are dead and they will continue to accomplish their goals in Ukraine. With that, how does the US respond? As you say, the US doesnt have a reverse gear. If so, once the Donbas is taken, does the US/NATO send boots in or do they actually stand down?

Well, there is a fine display of hatred. Ah you can appreciate it in its raw form. Most Americans really dont get that because we havent been in an existential war in a long time. Our bile rose for a bit with 911 and we were seething to "wipe out some ragheads" but it passed. Again, we really just don't get that others have this generational level of hatred for someone else. The civil rights movement happened long ago and elements are still trying to still foment this hatred within America for their own benefit but most people can sense it is fake. Perhaps it does describe how "black" people have been taught to feel about "whites".

What, realistically, could be a better result that takes more time? You do realize what is about to happen in the Donbas, yes?

Desired result depends on the side you’re on.

Regardless of what happens in Donbas, “to end quickly” is not the desired result. Either side could pick that right now.

But you’re literally stating “end as quick as possible” is your desired result?
