War in Ukraine

Oh i have given plenty of thought as how this ends. None of the outcomes are particularly pleasant. Maybe your main man Vlad should have thought that part through as well before he decided to cry havoc and loose the dogs of war.

Maybe the US should have pushed both sides to peace instead of war? How does that play out? Also, I agree, Vlad may have misplayed his hand. Only time will tell.

I have heard a theory of either Parkinson’s or Thyroid cancer. If Parkinson’s it would be especially ironic considering how his spiritual ancestor suffered from the same malady as he wasted away in HIS bunker

There is plenty of ridiculous speculation from the Ukrainian simps littered throughout this thread, but that post may top them all.

As Lavrov said, they are fighting against a unipolar world and the US continues to give them ammunition...

A war with China would be a sea/air/missile/cyber war. They take out our GPS we're done.

I heard NASA physicist Les Johnson speak a couple of years ago. He talked about our ability to use other other orbiting and geostationary satellites as backups for the military should our GPS system fail or is knocked out. GPS satellites aren't geostationary btw, they do two orbits a day. And it appears even Elon Musks Starlink system can possibly be used. So maybe all isn't lost.

SpaceX's Starlink broadband satellites could be used for GPS navigation

A lot of our stuff doesn't need a GPS system. The positioning technology intelligence is built into the guidance system.
Anything that flys any real distance or navigates for a couple of hours has to have GPS position updates to augment the inertial free navigation system. That’s the way all the tactical stuff works now. The only systems that free navigate for extended periods are our subs and they even surface to get a positional fix and feed the error info into their navigator for it to correct. However subs use gyros so large they are literally laid into the keel when the sub is built.

”push both sides to peace?” Oh yeah 😂 I forgot. We should have totally stopped all those dozens of columns of Ukrainian tanks moving into Russia. Those FIENDS!!!!

They've had that for weeks, which is why Ukraine troop movements are done in unmarked vehicles in the middle of the night.
It's almost like the Ukranians are an outnumbered force fighting invaders and the units that aren't fortifying and defending are fighting a guerrilla war instead of the pitched battled the invaders would prefer.

Also, I can go look for a few articles, but this morning was very important for the indo world. The leader of Pakistan (the country keeping Putin/India ties in check), Was named Kahn. He was voted out with a "no confidence" over night.

Meh, nothing to do with any of this - upshot will be a friendlier Pakistan to the USA. Sharifs are a bunch of crooks tho. Suspect young Bhutto will take it next election. Doesnt mean China isnt doing a LOT of deals there now but Paks know they cant trust them.
