This was my home away from home for 3 years, USS Ronald Reagan. Most don’t really understand the sheer size until you see it up close in person. Fun fact/cool story bro: I’m somewhere in this picture manning the rails. I use to love when we pulled into ports and had to man the rails, especially when it was the chance to man the rails pulling into Pearl Harbor. It was such an unforgettable experience. I volunteered every time.

In Mayport, we had two carriers when I lived there. The Forrestal and the Saratoga. Both are decommissioned now. But each held 5000 crew. I think the newer carriers carry something like 7500 to 10000 crew. Can't quite remember. But carriers are huge.

As a kid, I always looked forward to my dad returning from deployments. I remember him leaving and returning on many a cruise.

A lot of decommissioned ships get used for target practice. They help form new reefs. A lot also end up being sold for scrap.

I doubt very seriously that you want to get into those situations with the arms on this staff. Been around the game long time and other teams are not going to win that battle with this staff.
