War in Ukraine

Do you suggest an off ramp for Putin or is now the time for the West to come together and crush Russia under heel? and if so, what do you think that will cost us and what will be the benefits?

I don't see a scenario where it is in any way advantageous for the US to crush Russia under heel. I doubt any of the slappies in this thread simping for Ukraine can adequately war game out that scenario.

Having seen Pinochet and Qadaffi and others who made that deal, there is ZERO chance that Putin steps down. Candidly, most Russians might actually seriously object to that - having their leader imposed upon them by the West when we arent even at war (yet). So given that reality, how do you see this playing out then and what is the best way to bring it to the best conclusion that is actually possible?

Putin dies of natural causes.

You can't think of scenario where the US would defeat the Russian army on the battlefield? Color me shocked, without their nuclear arsenal, it would be quite easy for the US military to defeat Russia in a war.

You will be defending China when the time comes so it really shouldn't matter to you

Depends on if the media narrative is accurate and if that fake narrative is being used to try and get the US involved by escalating with China. Same as Russia. If some of you are so small minded that you believe that to be pro-China, as you now think I love Russian, so be it.

War game it out...we beat them on the battlefield, then what?

I don't need the media to spin a narrative that the Russian military is and has always been overrated. I simply just need to look at history and their current strategies in Ukraine.

The West has a basic, non simple choice. Drive Putin out of Ukraine and out of power or fight Xi in Taiwan and the South China Sea.

There is no “best” way to end this. There is no win win scenario. It’s trying to manage the smallest **** sandwich you have to eat. And there is no small common sandwich.

The other scenario was to stay out of the Russia/Ukraine regional conflict and be an outsider who was pushing both sides to peace. Instead we chose a proxy war which is now spiraling out of our control. Who could've predicted the US would create yet another mess by involving itself where it doesn't belong. Bill Kristol's record of failure is unblemished.

Or, Russia could have not invaded Ukraine and we could stop pretending this is the US/NATO's fault

Possibly but I doubt it. Most likely there would be an internal struggle for power, maybe even a civil war but whoever emerges would probably be smart enough to be the opposite of Putin.

The Russian people now hate the west and the US. Years ago Putin was as western friendly as you will get from a Russian leader. The chances you replace Putin with something better for US interests is laughably miniscule.

You’re not real bright are you? If the West reacts as you say then Xi moves on Taiwan. And I’d rather we avoid direct war with China as compared to any possible scenario in Ukraine. Anybody with a shred of common sense would… which explains why you don’t get it. 🤡

First thing is first, because this guy is known for using chemical weapons, and I'm wondering what odds I should give to finding him among the Russian dead generals? Everything says this battle is going to get very nasty.

China is much smarter (and richer) than Russia - they will take Taiwan without a single shot being fired. Putin only acted because he saw Russia's position growing weaker. China has only to wait ATM, as they grow stronger and as they buy corrupt Taiwan businesses with our money. Besides, there is no benefit to destroying Taiwan, since they need the factories intact. Meanwhile the US has grown weaker and showed utter folly in Afghanistan. We have shown ourselves to have sharp swords but weak hearts and dull minds.
