Volnation = Family

I don't think he's "a tool," just a little naive and perhaps a bit too anxious to please. Its nothing that he won't get over.

And this year I do expect a pretty bad year for UT, not because of the coaching, but because of the team.

I expect UT to be much better in about three years.

No doubt that's what most other SEC fans want to expect. But I think the reality will be much sweeter. Well, at least for us. I'm not saying we'll break out undefeated or anything ridiculous like that, but I see us going 9-3 next year, and better the year after that.

UT will win 8 games this year. How many were you thinking they would win?

I like that TN has a coah to fire up the sec rivalries. But I really want to know is Kiffen really thinking about going to Fl, going to Al, and being able to back up his talk. For the real TN fans that travel you know it is going to be be a tough trip win or lose now. Also does he need to put all this pressure on himself the first year. I feel TN isn't ready for Fl, but now he has made TN the ultimate target not the underdog feel good story. If they struggle again he could loose the team all over.

Kiffin's doing exactly what he needs to do to change the culture within the UT program. He and his staff are demonstrating a swagger and bravado that'll eventually define the UT program and its players.

UT will no longer work like heck and hope to win...instead, the Vols will work like hell and expect to win.

Message board material in February won't make road trips to Florida and Bama any tougher this fall.

The pressure is on the other coaches not Kiff he has a free pass...but how would Saban, Meyer etc. explain a loss to such an idiot?

Point was, its not a valuable conversation.

1. A Gay-tor fan.
2. A lawyer no less.
3. On a Tennessee Volunteers message board.
4. Determining what is and is not worthy of conversation.

What am I missing, because I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!

LawGaytor, I have publicly posted that you seem like a likeable fellow, and continue to believe that - but, really, why are you here?

I don't intend to even hint that you're not most welcome here (at least to me you are), but continue to be puzzled as to why you're not on a Gay-tor site with your other like-minded brethren? There is an acute shortage (or complete lack, one could easily argue) of well-spoken, mostly reasonable and seemingly intelligent Gay-tor fans in the world - couldn't you do more "good" by frequenting their sites instead of ours?

Other than you simply like us / our board better or feel that the conversation is somehow more satisfying on this side - what other reason makes you come here? If these are the only reasons you come here, aren't you already 9/10ths of the way toward being a Tennessee fan, anyway, and are just hiding in the closet? I say, come on out of the closet, Law-gator, and into the Big Orange glow.

We can get Freak to officiate your ceremony and one of the other regulars / respected members to baptize you as a citizen of the Volunteer Nation.

who would agree to do that?

Anywhere between 3 and 6 games.

I dont think hes looked at our schedule for next year... Nor does he realize that we had a top recruiting class in '07 that has barely seen the field because Fulmer liked to keep seniority when it came to playing time. Ill make it easy for you lawgaytor, we have several of the nations top prospects from 2007 that are either juniors or RS soph. Keep on believing what you believe though, and dont be so quick to call someone else -esp our dear ole head coach- naive unless you have checked yourself over really well. But dont worry, we wont whine and get the media or the SEC involved, I promise.

I really don't think it's going to make a difference what CLK said. Once the game starts, nobody, (at least on the field), is going to be thinking about what Kiffin said. It's going to be a matter of who has the better team, period.

who would agree to do that?

Depends on what "baptizing" may either mean or entail, I suppose.

If it's in the waters of the Tennessee River in February, likely, no one would volunteer (think of the multi-layered yet uninentional irony in that statement).

If the ceremony involved him buying rounds for everyone at the local establishment of our choice, I would assume that several would volunteer to perform that ceremony.

This Tennessee team is alot closer to winning than Bammer was when Saban got there.

He is picking a great year to talk trash..7 out of our first 9 games are home. FL will be very tough....ALA not so much IMO. Should be an exciting year for UT. I know I am ready to see that "T" open up again....stick around GW its just getting fun

You comparing Saban to Kiffin? I am not a Saban fan first off but has proven he can turn around a program. He did it at LSU and he has done it at bama. I wouldn't dare compare Kiffen to Saban regardless of the talent here at Tenn.

Who's this "Kiffen" dude you're referring to?
