I like that TN has a coah to fire up the sec rivalries. But I really want to know is Kiffen really thinking about going to Fl, going to Al, and being able to back up his talk. For the real TN fans that travel you know it is going to be be a tough trip win or lose now. Also does he need to put all this pressure on himself the first year. I feel TN isn't ready for Fl, but now he has made TN the ultimate target not the underdog feel good story. If they struggle again he could loose the team all over.

Gator fans don't need this as an excuse to act classless. What, is the number of urnine-filled bottles thrown at opposing fans going to increase? This move puts all the pressure on our coaching staff instead of our players. It also puts a good deal of pressure on Urban and UF. The worst thing possilbe would be for you guys to lose to us next year when it wasn't even a concern before. We don't expect to beat the Gators in 09 but we do expect to fight them for the whole game. Watch out in 2010.

Its not really what we are going to do this year that matters. The whole sing rocky top all night long after we beat florida was something he said to get the crowd into it. I"m not sure what is going to happen this year. I believe we will do better than last year, but that really isn't saying much. All this stuff that's going on in the media isn't hurting us. I believe next years recruits are going to look at Tennessee and Kiffen as a possibility of going somewhere that is going to be big in the future. I think we will be fine. People are taking stuff to literal.

"underdog feel good story" Not now or ever. Are we ready for the Gators now? Probably not. But a underdog feel good story....Give me a break.

I think you'll find that UT has plenty of talent to hang in there with UF and we definitely equal the talent that Bammer has with the exception of the OL.

This year the talent may surprise a few folks. Four decent returning OL's plus some help at WR in this recruiting class. Probably the best group of TE's in the SEC. They'll need better QB play but CLK was comfortable enough with that that he didn't spend any time trying to turn a QB or get a JUCO.

D should have more than enough talent except for possibly DT.

I think the plan was brilliant though the execution (offending the HS and being wrong on the rule) came a tad short.

He's sending a message that he isn't going to be intimidated like Fulmer was of Saban and Meyer. He's already gotten into Meyer's head a little. If Monte is as good as advertised and matches wits with Meyer... it could turn into some frustration.

I think one of the biggest effects that few have mentioned is on UT's players. Fulmer's fear translated to teams that played tight and choked. CLK's bravado should have the exact opposite effect.

In a way, he's turned the pressure back on Saban and Meyer who will both be heavy favorites.

As for getting beaten badly and all that.... Fulmer didn't give Meyer an excuse but UF still ran the score up 2 years ago. Same with Saban. It can't get much worse than those two games so there's very little risk there.

IMO, Bama is more talented than UF across the board. UF has better skill WR's and QB but I would give Bama the edge pretty much everywhere else.

We get it. You think our coach is a tool and you can't wait to see us fall flat on our face next season. There is no need to make 5 billion other posts stating as much in different ways.

Honestly, you just don't know what to expect next year and that bothers you. Hey, it bothers me too. But until you've actually seen our team out on the field, I'd keep my smugness to a minimum. :good!:

I don't think he's "a tool," just a little naive and perhaps a bit too anxious to please. Its nothing that he won't get over.

And this year I do expect a pretty bad year for UT, not because of the coaching, but because of the team.

I expect UT to be much better in about three years.
