if at 14, i found out one of my uncles had an AA turret, i would have snuck over there, ****ed around til i had it runnin, accidentally fired and hit a commercial airliner by mistake, kept firing at anything coming my way, thinking id be toast and eventually be tried as an adult for 8000 murders in one night.

Well, I did say "rational person" - that might leave you out on both counts. That's OK though; I think I'd want want to be on the same side as you if a special action breaks out.

This is what Russian defeat looks like VN. Straight up lashing out instead of having an argument. Very reminiscent of Ras having to block/ignore me in the Ukraine 1 thread

"Russian defeat"? I'm not for or against Russia, so that is false. You jumped into the middle of my response with another poster with a diatribe that wasn't pertinent to what we were discussing. No wonder he blocked you.

Invasion, to get the attention of the west who up to that point weren't taking Russian concerns seriously and continued to militarily build up on Russia's border.

I dont think you understand that word belligerent, or your own argument.

You say Ukraine is doomed because they arent with the west, but you also say that Russia is fighting the west. Which is it?

Is Russia beating Ukraine, or is Russia defeating the West, while simultaneously the West is Ukraines only hope?

I have pointed this out multiple times to you and you have ducked it each time. You even had to lash out the time to distract from your deflection

Easy. Ukraine is doomed unless the West commits troops. That doesn't mean that the west isn't propping up Ukraine in other ways and dragging this war out much longer than it needed to be. This also doesn't take into account IMF loans Ukraine has and the strings those come attached with. Russia, currently, is in fact beating Ukraine on the battlefield and beating the West at their own game of sanctions. This isn't the gotcha you think it is.

To deter a possible Russian proliferation taking into account Georgia. Quit pretending the west is the aggressor in this land grab.

Again the only ones dragging this out are Russia and Ukraine. Particularly Russia as the aggressors. I would bet Ukraine would take peace the moment their borders were honored and their sovereignty recognized. They have made it clear with their efforts they dont want to be under Putins thumb. If you want to believe there is only a dichotomy, fine, but Ukraine made their choice. And have done so with their own blood.

No one can force Ukraine to take the money or weapons and use them to fight the war. If they had no will to fight, or really wanted "liberating" they wouldnt be fighting. That is why I keep saying the only two that matter are Ukraine and Russia. Until one of them stop, it doesnt matter what the rest does. And right now Russia is in the wrong being the aggressor actively occupying another country.
