War in Ukraine

That is because of corrupt leadership that has been raping that country for decades, and been significantly pillaged by some Americans with political connections over there. Had that country been liberated from these Western jackals, Ukraine would be one of the wealthiest countries in Europe.
Had Ukraine been "liberated", all that money would be flowing into Putin's pockets. Nothing else.

pro russian telegram group warned of leaving kramatorsk, slovyansk and other settlements by train before the strike on kramatorsk.

Why is Ukraine begging NATO for weapons? I thought they were schooling Russia? I mean if you are winning why would you need more weapons?
Rethink that for a moment and then get back to the group. I mean, the person winning the marathon, surely doesn't need more water to keep winning.

You fail to recognize the nation that is responsible for more meddling in Ukraine than the rest of the World combined which is not surprising.

Russia was always going to win this conflict if NATO didnt join. I'm a realist who wants to see Ukrainian and Russian lives spared. You guys can wax poetic about sovereign borders, but what is done is done. How do we end this as quickly as possible and prevent unnecessary casualties?
So never fight the good fight
Just give up as soon as things look bad. Warfare is like sports, there is a reason you "play" the game. Upsets happen.

Mauripol is 69 miles from the closest decent sized russian city that has been fighting for months. Hardly a reason for Ulraine to throw in the towel.

And this is just another example of your bs when you say you care about a nations sovereignty. If you cared about russian and ukrainian lives you wouldnt have supported the Donbas separatist movement, wouldnt defend russias invasion. You are making politically convient arguments not backed up by your posting history.

It's time for the US to mind it's own business and start developing it's own economy and begin to rely less (or as much as we can) on foreign sources of energy... or at least those sources outside of this hemisphere.

Let China, Russia, Western Europe or whoever deal with their corners of the world. We can't afford to invest in these regional conflicts and world policing when our own country has a damn border crisis of its own.

Seems like a more pragmatic and simple concept based on the harsh realities we are facing right now.

Good post. 30 years of Neocon misadventure around the globe and what do we have to show for it?

A little clip from the Russian government that will help us all finally understand why the Ukrainians are Nazis. Cookbook ban + no way to cook borsht = Nazism. I sh!t you not..

When all explanatory roads lead to "Nazis!", they've lost the argument. Our resident Putin advocates are no different than the propagandist leftists they claim to detest and are cut from the same shape-shifting cloth as early progressives such as FDR who admired the Uncle Joes and Italian gentleman strongmen of the day as "men of action". They either can't see the demise of the West might very well begat generations of Dark Ages rule by autocracy, rather than an imagined Phoenix-like reconstitution, or they simply don't care. They may well be as butler Alfred put it, people who simply want to see the world burn.

Mariupol has been in Russian hands for a week or so now. There is a group of Azov pinned down in a large steel factory with underground bunkers, but other than that isolated area they have that city.

War isnt like sports at all. History is full of surrenders. Russia did what they thought was necessary for their own protection from an increasingly militant neighbor. It shouldnt have come to this but it seems this is the outcome all parties involved wanted. The US and NATO sure as hell werent trying to push for peace.

I dont know if you have noticed the cultural rot in the West along with rising fascism in America, but our current course appears to be demise. I grant you, there are many paths to destruction and just because Putin isnt taking the Western path to destruction doesnt mean he isnt taking another path. Only time will tell.

With Hungary being so close to Slovakia, that's probably a flash point to keep an eye on. Also, I thought the Patriots were sent to Ukraine? Am I mistaken about that? I think they got the Patriot missile system.

You should know that every time you trot out the Azov battalion, everyone rolls their eyes.

Aside from the fact that the lore you and the Russian people have ginned up to justify murdering people is laughable, it's even more pathetic that the entirety of the Russian army can't seem to extinguish a "battalion" just a few miles from the Russian border.

Do yourself a favor and stop reminding us how weak and pathetic Russia's military is.

Article I read didn’t mention this, but does this telegram group speak for the Russian government officially? I don’t know, either way the attack was not right IMO.

It's literally the object of the bulk of my posts. Putin's autocracy is not antidote for our slow-boil autocracy.

Karkiv is a whopping 22 miles from the Russian border, and it's still completely free and relatively unscathed.

The most interesting facet of the war IMO is that we really overestimated the 'mighty' red army for decades. Turns out that the level of corruption within @volgr's communist nirvana is immense.
