War in Ukraine

So we're training Ukrainians here to use Switchblades.

All in.

"A small number of Ukrainians have been trained in the United States on how to operate killer "Switchblade" drones, single-use weapons that fly into their targets and detonate on impact, a senior U.S. defense official disclosed on Wednesday.

The Ukrainians undergoing training on the Switchblades and other weaponry number less than a dozen. They had arrived in the United States for regular military education programs prior to Russia's invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24."

In 1850 64% of Americans lived on farms and most of those were subsistence situations. Today, US farms only account for 1.3% of the workforce. There really is no comparison in lifestyle, economy, access to information, or societal norms.
That is true. And a lot of those farmers knew what was going on because they had access to news media. With all the information readily available today, the average American isn't all that well informed.

„Access to information“ has absolutely nothing to do with knowledge. Did you ever use to watch Jaywalking on the tonight show? Good golly but there are some uniformed people out there
I never said access to information and knowledge were equivalent. I’m pointing out that the topics of conversation in the 19th century were likely much different than those of 2022. If it were up to me I’d rather be born in a time where we were talking about the county cattle auction and narrow gauge railroad construction rather than the intricacies of Eurasian territorial disputes… but here we are.

Right. And a lot of those farmers knew what was going on because they had access to news media. With all the information readily available today, the average American isn't all that well informed.
Can’t argue with the later point, certainly.

Really reminds me of the 2016 Election. Anyone who thought Trump might win was laughed at, mocked, etc. Media just beat the drums day in amd day out, experts say Hillary is winning easily, experts predict she is going to win, etc.

I think the American people are going to be in for a rude surprise when they see Russia win this convincingly, the Russian economy not collapsing and the absolute chaos and harm the overreactive US/NATO sanctions will have on the US/Euro. Most people have no clue of the pending disaster this is going to cause. It is so incompetent it is hard for me to believe we aren't doing this on purpose.

And yet again you make an analogy to press coverage of Trump to try to rally his supporters to your repulsive point of view.

Hey Trump voter, hate the liberal media? We Russia-supporters do too! Join us against the media!

Listen to people who do polling. Americans are tough to acurately poll on touchy subjects because people are afraid to give their true feelings. Silent majority may have meant something different many years ago, but that is what it means today.
It's not an American thing, controversial issues are touchy regardless of nationality.

So, at this point in the game we have lost our target Putin. Last heard, he was moving to a more secure bunker, then disappeared. My guess is he is moving from one bunker to the next. He probably has 3-6 bunkers is a guess.

I think he was offering to meet in Hungary, where that puppet regime is holding the cpac, but then backed out. I think if he goes to certain countries he is arrested on the spot. Israelis just labelled him a War Criminal (rightfully so). He can fly from one bunker to the next and restock, but eventually the money will run out.

That is comical. You live in a deluded world.

BINGO. Too bad more of you dont understand this..

What is your ever changing argument now? First, it was Ukraine was militarized and was threatening Russia which isn’t/wasn’t true. Second, Russia was liberating Ukraine from Nazis killing “ethnic” Russians which is/was debatable at best, lie at worst. Third, NATO was/is instigating a war Russia wants to end but can’t because Ukraine is forbidden from accepting peace talks because the West wants war. That excuse is laughably absurd. Fourth, Russia didn’t/doesn’t target civilians and there are few if any civilian casualties. Again, laughably untrue there hundreds of accounts of civilian deaths. The newest excuse courtesy of our resident apologist is the civilian casualties were perpetrated by the Ukrainians because we armed them and now by default are responsible for the deaths, not the Russians who invaded its neighbor needlessly. When this newest deflection falls apart another excuse will surface: US imperialism, a new undiscovered Ukrainian Nazi brigade, moral decline in the US, climate change, etc.

Evidence of war crimes committed by Russia are beyond compelling. Real time videos showing the deliberate killing of civilians, hundreds found murdered in areas just vacated by Russian units.

It's time to call the spade what it is. Putin has to go, he surely knows this. The question is does Russia or Russians have a backbone? They must clean their house or they will suffer for decades.
