A Ukrainian striptease champion has become a 'hero' for rescuing abandoned cats in Irpin - a city devastated by the consequences of
Russia's invasion.
Alexei Surovtsev - an actor also known for being on his country's version of
Dancing with the Stars - has made it his mission to help defenseless animals caught up in the conflict.
In one clip on social media he appears to enter a building damaged by fire, as remnants of a blaze continue to burn, to get some kittens trapped in the house out.

Footage shows him taking care of the animals, seemingly taking the strays into his own house, as he feeds and pets them.
