Mets sure seem to have a consistent problem with injuries to important players. Tbh, this is one reason my jimmies aren't rustled anymore by their offseason moves. They do it every year and every year, they Met it up.This is gonna really suck for the Mets when Max hits the IL because his arm is dead in June
They’ve been blowing up Aces for 15 years. Sure seems like an organizational problem.Mets sure seem to have a consistent problem with injuries to important players. deGrom didn’t pitch until his junior year of college. I would say his injury history has to do with throwing 101 mph for 7 innings at 165 lbs and NOT spending his entire life being conditioned to do so.Not sure it’s organizational but too many innings at young age. When kids played 2-3 sports or at least no sport year round, arms could recover. Look at the Braves over the past 30 years: Avery, Smoltz, Medlen, Tommy Greene, Tommy Hanson, Pete Smith, Venters,Beachy. All had major arm injuries. Smoltz and to some extent Venters were the only ones to come back with any success. Mets have had big names go down recently; most likely just a bad streak. I hate it for DeGrom, but actually hate the Mets more.
