He was a beast at YAC. Hopefully Hyatt, Calloway, Holiday can fill in that regard. Probably others - squirrel(?).Wish we had one more year of Velus. Underrated burner that's finally getting his due.
My father in law coached football and basketball at Kirkman High in the mid 60s. He had some great stories about that time.I'm not a coach but I do have experience at the HS level. That was 50 years ago. I had to fill in for the HS coach one game. Anyway, in watching McCoy's highlights it's obvious he is a really physical player. I've seen people talking about his prowess as a possible edge rusher, not that we would use him there, just that he's that type of player. It reminded me of Jennings when he got drafted and the HC of San Francisco said JJ could play different positions and he included safety as one of those positions, presumably because of JJ's physical style of play.
I know everybody is thinking McCoy is going to play on the outside and that's probably right but IIRC JJ operated out of the slot and while this is a (thankfully) totally different offense replacing VJ out of the slot may be more difficult than replacing Payton on the outside. I don't know but I was thinking what if McCoy was operating out of the slot. It's all about matchups, right? What position would be covering him? A linebacker isn't going to be able to cover him, I wouldn't think. jmo.
No matter where he plays he could be a game changer, taking our already quality receiving corps to a new level. jmo.
Here are our receiving stats for our games against Georgia and Alabama from this past year.

Tbh without a QB battle or a superstar 5* newcomer (like Nico, Tate, Burley, Bradley and others will be next year)...I'm just not caring a ton about Spring practice. But one thing seems to be a lot of people rotating at RT from what little I've read.
Someone that's actually following the OL closely - who do you see as our starting LT this year? Backup? Any chance we take a late portal guy or do we feel comfortable there?
Probably a ludicrous idea... but with how physical he is...could he possibly hold up in blocking at (gasp) Tight End?? Then he'd be Kyle Pitts 2.0 on pass plays. Absolutely terrorize folks.Somebody that big in the slot would be a big surprise for the defense. They'd have to change their whole secondary game plan around
Definitely force at least nickel cause lb can't cover, but then u sacrifice size and you're screwed again! Love it

100%.For the team to take the next step to 10-3 type of level. The defense has to get a bit better on third down. Get more stops and create more turnovers will turn a few games like the Gator and LSU games. Will allow for more offensive Opportunities. It’s like a balancing act all three sides play as one
Nah...afraid y’all would turn it into the old woman looking at the hot, young, soon-to-be-millionaire, baseball players instead lol.You are clearly a much more mentally balanced person than @Glitch
Well, if there's anything that Hollywood has taught me this week, it's that if you don't like what's being said, slap the hell out of someone. Go for it man, let em know.I would like to think this is true, but what Disney and other corporations, and the public school system are doing is clearly very real and very disturbing
