Most annoying? They don’t care for Rocky Top. We are the rarest combination of humility, generosity, good nature, and support for our Volunteers that is akin to faith. Oh, like any large population, there are exceptions to the rule (evidenced on VN), but annoyance with our overall collective character is self-reflective on the part of the annoyed.

For example, the tailgating group in Oregon, one of whom threw a hotdog at a passing Vol fan. The Vol fan remarked, “Is this for me?” And engaged the Oregonians in a genuine, gracious, and friendly manner. The Ducks fans were flipped from a disparaging attitude to an appreciative one. The encounter left them feeling better about Vols fans and, more significantly, about themselves.

Later, when the euphoric effects have dimmed, one can understand that some among the Oregonians might find the genuine graciousness of Vols fans annoying. Still, their lives and their own fandom is enriched by the encounter.

Funny, I haven’t seen Behr mayud as hale in awhile now. I’m beginning to think this is something TFG and Soucie cooked up together for their, ahem...enjoyment together. Sickos.
