Ok internet bad ass. Just please do not date a daughter of one of the fathers on here as the resulting epic battle may signal Ragnarok.

Nah not a bad ass by no means,I mean ur more than welcome to take it lightly.Im sure ur wife n kids are real proud of the man u are,me myself I'm just different I guess.I think the whole slapping thing in general was a bit extreme but who am i to tell another man how to defend his wife.Im not headed to Hollywood anytime soon for any awards but if we cross in a grocery store and u talk sh*t to my wife a swift asswhoopn will def proceed.

He is an actor. He was acting.

I'm honestly surprised there weren't more "if someone slapped me aww damn I would wreck that fool" posts today. Guess you are the only honorable man left among us.

Hey I mean if ur cool with another man making fun of ur family or wife's illness in front of millions of people then more power to ya.Im not saying how he handled it was correct but ur a punk in my eyes if u allow some disrespect like that to go on and do nothing.Im also speaking more of just a in general every day life setting majority of us ain't accepting awards on stage tv.
There is a world of difference between what Will did, and "nothing".

You can shake your head, act like a civilized human being, and release a statement afterward that makes Chris Rock look as low class as he is. Sane people realize that the words of others can't define their loved ones. Strong people won't make themselves and their loved ones so weak as to assume vulnerability to low class jokes.

Probably why it felt staged to me...Will & Jada conveniently that close to the main stage. The delayed reaction, the long walk-up, Chris Rock not only not doing anything to defend himself but also having his hands down/behind his back.

Either he had zero idea Will would actually touch him OR he knew 100% Will was going to slap him. Cause if you're worried or uncertain you'd at least flinch.

I don't know, to me even after delivering a poor taste joke I would have expected Rock to respond a bit more than he did. I've seen comedians get confronted and then they turn into the aggressor more than what Rock did.

I actually think u may be correct in that.If u rewatch it one would think it def could have been staged.I mean he actually kinda leans his head towards the way Smith smacked him.It wasn't much but damn sure looked like he put his hands behind his back and then goose necked out a little but who really knows. They both getting mad exposure for it.Flip side of that is I don't see any way Will Smith would volunteer for a stunt like that knowing what would come etc.I think it was a bit over reactive no matter i prob woulda just beat his azz back stage or at the after party

Geez. My wife would be shake her head at the joke be give me hell for setting that kind of horrible example for the kids.

Now, if someone tried to lay hands harshly on my wife or kids... That's a different story.

Well said actually everyone would react differently I'm sure.I wish we just have an old school 12 noon show down like the old days.

I'll just say this, I've seen better sell jobs of slaps by the WWE than what Rock gave for that "unexpected" one he took.
