I think the more likely scenario would be that Biden sees that Ukraine is out of his control and attempts a false flag to justify taking some extreme action.

If that's how you want to read it, go for it cowboy. I agree with your everything else about your original reply to me. Biden shouldnt have said it. It's okay to think it or say it behind closed doors. However, you and I both know there are posters on this forum who would condemn Biden for this, but talk anout how Trump doesn't back down and has huge cajones if he had said it.

And likewise, if Russia or China moved in military equipment to Mexico or Cuba, should the US just let that happen?

I think the bigger picture is how does this end? The Ukrainians will never agree to disarm, nor should they. I really don't think Putin is going to pack it all up and go home. Would he ever accept defeat? He can't hold Ukraine. Does this escalate beyond Ukrainian borders? Does Putin turn to WMD's once he is completely bogged down and can advance no further? What does U.S. and the rest of Europe do then? This may be a more perilous situation than many are understanding here. Wide spread food shortages in Europe perhaps in the future???
