War in Ukraine

It is very clear now that Obama and Trump were both too easy on Russia. There was no real pushback on anything he said or did. I think they (me too) both saw China as the larger threat especially to our economy and kind of let Putin roam free. I also think he believed the action he is taking now would further divide our country and the Trump cult would very vocally break away from any US response coming from the WH. I believe Trump thought that also judging from comments right after the invasion. He has since been uncharacteristically quiet on the matter as he found himself and his views standing alone in the ether.

Putin isn't going to be removed by the West. It is going to have to happen from within. Biden remarks I think will serve to encourage those inside the Kremlin and I wish others would chime in.

WWIII isn't going to happen because of rhetoric. It's more likely to happen if the West gets physically engaged and Putin feels boxed in between our military and his own people.
How would Biden’s call for Putin to be deposed encourage a coup in the Kremlin? It’s their necks and we’re in no position to assist, nor should we be. And it may well stoke nationalistic support of Putin.

No they won't. They might make him more reckless, but they won't make him more popular.

LOL

Russian media is controlled by the state even more than ours is. Imagine All the cable newstainment networks running a loop 24/7 with Putin saying Biden isn’t fit for office and needs to be removed. Even his support would grow because even at the base level Biden is seen as Team USA.

Then throw in the effects of the sanctions and you have propaganda gold.

The Russian media was already going after the US government. You think there were a lot of Russians, who were previously on the fence about Putin, but upon seeing Biden's quote, angrily declared that was the straw that broke the camel's back, that they now support Putin for life?

In fact there are dozens of dictators and bad actors committing like atrocities around the world right now, every day, and we don't hear about them at all. I'd expect Biden, and anyone that supports US involvement in this regional conflict, to commit to supporting financially and with arms rebel movements or resistances against all these dictators, including in China.
Let's be honest, if we can be honest. Had Russia invaded Afghanistan or any of the other Stans, this would've been a non-issue. But the perfect combination of Russian hatred/bigotry and the attack on on "Europeans" has people now emotionally connected and invested. We have seen people being slaughtered in The Middle East, Africa and Asia all the time (including at this very moment), yet where are the "I Stand with Yemen"/"I Stand with Somalia"/"I Stand with Syria" memes? The propaganda is so effective that you have redhats and the unvaccinated that over the last 2 years were screaming about the corrupt azz media in their reporting and govt mendacity, but now are wearing their gold and baby blue in support of Ukraine and talking about no fly zones and catching flights to Poland to join the fight.

Dude this has nothing to do with Trump. You don't have to try to convince anyone but yourself it does. Throwing in Obama so it doesn't look obvious what you're doing.

Then you try to make Biden out as some hero.

This is rich and something I would've expected from Luther.

Just quit. You've been spotted.

LOL

We do not have the capability, raw materials and manufacturing, to produce the batteries it would take to make the switch to electric cars possible and that is assuming we can create a green energy power supply capable of charging all those batteries and filling all our other needs for electricity. As long as the green new deal is this nation's policy, we are slaves to China.

Something lost in all this is the Iranian Nuclear deal. That has pissed off the Arabs. I tell you what, this Biden admin is dangerous to our national security.

Of course it has pissed them off. I often say to folks worldwide events generally don't happen in a bubble. They are generally tied to degrees of separation. Low info voters might be keen on many subjects independently but don't tie the events together very well.

Hence, higher prices at the are due to the Russia sanctions. True in part but not the full story. And I'm not sure those sanctions has made its way to the pump yet.

Putin is safe in Russia. The West has blundered so badly that the average Russian now sees clearly that The West hates them. The West made Putin's point better than he could.
