War in Ukraine

If you’re going to be dumb and not use your own resources you’re going to pay.

People here in the US need to be paying attention to that very fact. Europeans screwed themselves on energy, we've spread it around and not gone as deeply in any one segment, but the real pain is coming.

It's because Russia's current status is that of failing regional power growing less important by the day. They are wholly dependent on exporting to Europe for their economy to function at all, at Vova has botched that as well. Russia needs Putin's generation to die out.

Russia needs the "leaders" or movers and shakers of Putin's generation to die out. They need those who suffered under the Putins of the past to remind them of the sins of the past. Youth pulls people one way; mature people slow it down until youth learn life lessons that show them their good youthful instincts weren't necessarily grounded in reality. Feedback and control theory for social systems - negative feedback makes for stability by mitigating/inhibiting overcontrol and wrong turns.

Neither. I want traditional American values.

Don't you think traditional values and our Constitution (before liberally reinterpreted) went hand in hand? Our system was based on the Constitution, and it seems that those who were and are faithless to the Constitution have moved us from traditional American values.

I agree.

India has a massive population with few natural resources, it's obvious why they are doing it

Yep. India is a classic example regarding the use of foreign aid. It all still goes back to the US, Russia (really the Soviet Union), and China (more currently). The three are in a struggle for strategic alliances - sometimes resources, sometimes geographic (Panama and Suez Canals), sometimes it's more nebulous like India. After the brute force of colonialism, a lot of countries have become bidding wars because of one factor or another.

Cuba is an example that once the most important factor (Soviet world domination) was removed, so was aid, and it withered on the vine. We aren't interested in buying Cuba back, Russia couldn't afford the upkeep, so now China is investing in Cuba - we have to assume right or wrong China has a plan.

India is backing the wrong team, and we and our allies are doing too little to change their thinking. India in our court would make for a lot of potential in taming Chinese aggression. India also has plenty of very intelligent and capable people because they aren't hamstrung by the concept of "equality" - or the practice of dumbing down the intelligent to make them equal to everybody else - particularly those who don't even want to be educated. It's been said that our elite universities are where gifted Indians go when they aren't good enough to be accepted by the Indian Institutes of Technology.

Every Indian I’ve worked with hates China, maybe that isn’t a unique feeling.

We absolutely need China to face enemies on two fronts. India is by far the best choice. Russian/Chinese geography may be better, but India is much better ideologically than Russia. We really do need India as a close ally. It serves several purposes; and one current one is that if India isn't buying Russian, it devalues Russian wealth, power, and influence.

They won't be able to pull off installing a Republican SOH as POTUS, no dam way the Rs are that savvy. If any changes happen it will be the Dems finding a reason to replace Harris shortly after or right before the midterms, then Biden stepping down at the end of Jan beginning of Feb.

Could be dems dump Kami soon (one way or another) and then play the vacancy as a reason that dems must hold and gain during the midterms. Probably not, but it's worth considering. Our illustrious VP should probably stay off planes, out of the limelight, away from Clintons, and avoid banana peels.

He was a new generation of player who didn't like the traditional uniform and felt he was important enough to buck tradition and wear an alternate uniform?
I suspect he will will never be heard from again. I am also pretty sure he is earless by now.

I hope you are correct, there's still plenty of time for a national emergency where voting by mail will be needed.
Look for a Biden executive order to emerge around August/September declaring some sort of war/covid/oil/food shortage emergency and banning all in-person voting.
You guys do realize repubs had lost the popular vote in 5 of the 6 previous presidential elections, right?
HILLARY beat Trump by millions of votes in 2016.
Trump was the most hated president of the past 100 years.
There was nothing odd about him losing. Trump winning would have suggested fraud.

You do realize that the founding fathers set up the electoral college to prevent the very thing that you just mentioned in your post, don't you?

I would agree and was going to label Europe as a sinking ship myself. They are a frivolous ridiculous lot who have very little left to offer the World.

Wait. What would our culturally elite do without overpriced European cars and appliances. And then there are the all important vacations ... and dreams of bringing European socialist programs here - so many things are a right, you know. There has to be a dream that there is superior intelligence elsewhere, or our leftists will melt into a pools of self loathing - a real environmental nightmare.
