Not sure if mentioned, but with respect to the apparel companies signing players - that should also play into transfers.

Let's say we sign Bobby Bobberson, and he signs a Spyre deal for $100,000 and a Nike deal for $50,000. Well after his sophomore year he decides to transfer. He loses his Spyre deal but as long as he transfers to another Nike school he will keep his Nike contract.

Let's say we want a transfer from Bama real bad and it's between the Vols and Texas A&M. Well, he's already got a Nike deal, so we might have a slight leg up because A&M is Adidas and he'd have to drop his Nike deal (and maybe pay out a penalty or whatever else they write into it) to go to A&M.

Note: Jordan brand is owned by Nike so it doesn't affect Florida that much. All the same.

This might really affect the Pac12 (adidas, nike, and under armour schools) and I think I'll be bigger for basketball than football.

Doing things the right way now and I'm here for it. When you get a high quality and successful coach and stability you keep it. Just extended Vitello last year, coach Pensky in women's soccer, and now Rick. I'm sure there's others. Danny White doing a great job.

That's encouraging. She can flat play the game. Combined with Jasmine Powell at PG - Kellie has some real talent to work with next season. Could be their breakout as a team as well as hers as a coach if she will incorporate a good offensive system.

Something I still think about all the time was how bad the offenses were that big Jerm trotted out at Tennessee... That 2020 team had THREE plays over 40 yards. CJH took that team, lost several starters, and had approximately 11 million plays over 40 yards haha.

It's portal time

Just over a month to fully see what's out there to play next year. May 1st. Also key to remember, recent SEC additions are not eligible to transfer in and play next season. SEC deadline to transfer within conference was February 1st. If they were in the portal on or before Feb. 1st, they are eligible to play next year. Any SEC players to enter into the portal after that cannot transfer within the conference and play next year. Unless there's some kind of waiver process.

I forgot about landing Jasmine Powell. Kellie also has a top 10 player in the country coming in as a freshman.

The Eagles re-signed Derek Barnett to a 2 year deal. I don't think the terms have been disclosed.

I don’t understand what he’s talking about. Why would shoe company NIL stuff obviate Spyre’s NIL stuff?

Maybe because Spyre wants full rights.

Easy...just add our money...you can still get deals from xyz company (which they will anyway, so it's a moot point).

It takes away Spyre as the sole NiL source. But they'll still be a massive piece of the pie compared to shoe companies. No way in heck Adidas is paying $8mm to 32 5*s lol.
