Yeah, because after winning the SEC TOURNAMENT, that doesn't count as a tournament anymore.

Ranked #5 at the end of the regular season . SEC champs and lost a hard fought game in the tourney. I enjoyed this season almost as much as Grant and the Admirals last ride. Thing are as good at UT as they have been in years. I’m not gonna let the complaints make me think any different.

Yep. Last year’s team was better but missing a point guard .
This year’s had the point guard but lacked the couple of big time talent that last year’s had.
Would be nice to have one with all the pieces in place.

KC with Keon, Springer & Pons would have been a damn fun squad.

I will say this…Aidoo didn’t see meaningful minutes against Longwood. And was expected to guard an elite big.

Uros actually rose to the challenge, sat the last 6-8 minutes of the game.

Despite cold shooting from deep no attempts to find someone hot. Powell never goes in, no Q, and Bailey never takes a 3.

KC had 7 assists in 1st half and we’re up 5. Only got 2 more in 2nd half and we lose by 6.

I get KC & ZZ driving helped get us a lead, but they also gotta still try to find their teammates.

They did. You don’t get assists when the assisted shots don’t go in.

It kills my people can’t recognize how big of a mistake it was to not playing Aidoo and Hatfield more.
I truly believe it would of made the difference between us winning and losing. Hardest thing to do is shoot over length, it is what killed us and should killed their big , by being defended by aidoo.

We do it far less than most college teams.* That said, you don't win the tourney without being 3 oriented team. The days of shooting 2s have long since passed. Hell they were on their way out when I was still a kid.

Being disappointed is natural. Insane is acting like Rick Barnes is a horrible coach and needs to be replaced. Two different concepts. You can be disappointed while not bitching about Coach Barnes or our players.

- 3 seeds favored by more than 3.5 were 21-10.
- 3 seeds with a KenPom of 10 or better were 12-4.
- 3 seeds from a tier 1 conference vs 11 seeds from a tier 1 conference were 24-12


Went back and looked, here are the trends for when we played OkSt...

- When 5 seed is favored by 7.5 or more, they are 11-1.
- 5 seed with kenpom ranking 50+ better than 12 seed (Tenn 21, OreSt 85) are 13-2
- 12 seed with kenpom 80 or worse are 2-8


For two years we have bucked the trends in a very negative way

If yall don't think this stuff is nefarious, ask yourself why Michigan was even in the tournament? When was the last time a 17 win team got in without an automatic bid? Why did Duke get a 2 seed? Why is Bill Self still coaching? Why did it take 6 years for the hammer to come down on Will Wade? Why has nothing been advanced with Pearl (one of his coaches was arrested by the dang FBI)? The NCAA is corrupt. Juan is getting rewarded for taking his punishment for punching another coach. They're "taking care" of him.

Rick Barnes doesn't need to be replaced.

We won the SEC Tournament for the first time in decades.

He built an awesome team, and all of his players have gotten better year of year. Except for maybe Fulk. He uncovered a gem in ZZ. He's got a nucleus to build around for next year. Above all, he is a good man, and a respected coach.

All that being said, he got bested by the Michigan staff tonight. They had a plan and they executed it to a T.

"The team went cold shooting from the 3!" Yes, that was by design.

At the end of the day, we all knew that refs or a scoring drought would catch up to us. It sucks it was so early in the tournament, BUT we have hardware and a new banner.

They can't all be winners, kids.
