I don’t care about feelings, Gray was involved with taking cash and distributing illegal benefits. No way I can see him back.

Evidence? And given NIL, who cares. Tell him to come get his money legally.

He was pretty abysmal at Oklahoma and wound up being irrelevant there. I feel pretty confident that the backs we have now are at least equal to, if not better than him. And I'm excited to see the freshman backs we've brought in. If he was a game changer, sure but seeing as how he either quit the team or was asked to leave due to cheating...i'll pass.

I’d love to have him back, but I’m not sure Donde would let that happen without complete exoneration. And keep in mind that Pruitt is still suing for his buyout. We bring a guy that “might have” received improper benefits, we may weaken the case against Pruitt.

If he's a grad transfer, he can legally go to any school that would want him, including us. However, I think it would be a mistake, and don't personally want. That's an invitation to possible trouble in the RB room. Too great of a risk if you ask me. If we could pull it off, that RB from SMU looks intriguing.

IF those guys are part of the NCAA investigation against us bringing them back would not go well..best to move on and move forward. their transfers seemed a bit weird, these were guys guaranteed playing time so why would they transfer out? Either they weren't happy here or they were involved.. either way.. lets move on. They did what they had to do we will do the same. No hard feelings and best of luck to em. I don't blame any college kid that takes the bag.

It won’t happen. There’s zero way the university is touching him. What happened predated the NIL and we still haven’t had a judgment regarding that case. If not for that I completely agree with you but it ain’t happening.

To me there are two realms of thought. He either bailed on his team or he took money and was told to leave. If he bailed on his team I don’t want him back. If he took money UT is not going to let him come back. Pretty sure this ship has sailed. And no my feelings are not hurt. Football is building something like the basketball team has and we don’t need Gray to get there.

So you don't know for a fact he was one of the players? Thanks for playing.

When Jordan left the Bulls to play baseball was it dumb to take him back? These emotional arguments are weak.

Heard news that Eric Gray isn’t happy at OK and looks to graduate this summer.
Could he possibly grad-transfer back to UT.
He has been at the D-1 camp training with former Vols and current RBs at UT.
Where’s there smoke there is fire.
Wait and see what happens 🤷🏼‍♂️
Hope not

I’d rather Keyshawn come back. But I was admittedly really pissed when he left. I’m sure it was the McDonald’s bags though. No choice

That ship has sailed. He bailed when things got rough and now he wants to return as things look up. Thanks but no thanks.

Plus I thought there was smoke about him receiving $$$ which is why he was suspended last game of season 2020?

I don’t think the claims were ever specific to any player, just that the ones who had received money had transferred out already

Why would he want to come back to Knoxville? I am sure he had good reasons to leave.

Besides, we now have a coach that has developed a positive culture.

I suspect (no proof, just instinct) that they were part of Pruitt's recruiting shenanigans and were... encouraged to look elsewhere

Edit: but if I am completely wrong on that and both sides wanted to reconnect I would be all for it

It’s not a grudge it’s an opinion, go stir crap some where else

An opinion that you don’t want a player who could 100% improve our roster because he left?

That’s what we call a grudge
