Garbage...change the rules because it is too hard to learn how to actually hit the ball...absolute garbage.
They are scoring more runs per game with the new swinging techniques being taught….. the rule changes aren’t for the players it’s for the fans…. Teams don’t teach hit and run or really any of the small ball stuff bc they are more effective overall teaching bat angle and other things like that….. even at 9-11 years old are taught never to hit ground balls…. Get lift and outside pitches you drive just to the right of second base….. you score more runs doing even with the invention of the shift.

It's garbage

They have changed several years throughout the years in football and basketball to make it easier for the offense. I hate the shift but don’t like the rule change either…. As for talking about guys going the opposite way…… players are taught an entirely different style of hitting nowadays…. I don’t think it is that simple for them to change their swing to go the opposite way anymore.
was always taught to make contact, and grind it out on the bases. as a lefty, its logical to drop it into left center. All the greats had an inside out swing, gwynn, williams, jones. Go with the pitch. If you can pull it, pull it. If not, use your hands.
