War in Ukraine

Yeah, that won't happen. Putin, while also raising the standard of living during his tenure has helped make Russia quite self sufficient and in the areas they are not, China/India will help fill the void. This is what I am saying, Americans don't understand what is actually going on in Russia (thanks media).

Well let's see...

Russian stock market has been closed for 3 weeks.
Russian Ruble down 50%.
Russian central bank interest rates more than doubled to 20%.
Over 50% of all Russian Central Bank assets frozen.
Major Russian banks cut off completely from raising money in the US / West.
Russia going to default on its foreign debt today for the first time since 1918.
Russia cut off from the SWIFT global payment system.
Russia oil/products/services sales banned in some countries / limited and set to decline elsewhere.
China/India have yet to publicly provide any visible help to date.
400+ Western firms have pulled out of Russia.

So, tell us more about "what is actually going on in Russia".

You think what's happening on the ground is matching his "war gaming it out?"

Yes. The only failure, that I can see, is Russia underestimated the strength and reach of Ukrainian disinformation and propaganda. Ukraine is winning the information war and it isn't close. As for the actual war on the ground, Russia seems to be quickly achieving their goals.

Once again if you are for businesses doing " as they see fit' then you would be against ANY government agency mandating or making rules on a how a business operates. In other words that barber shouldn't need a license to open his shop and the government should have had no right to tell them they needed to shut down temporarily during the pandemic.

Second if every janitor, CNA and food service worker at the hospital decided to quit that would be a major problem. Bet you would be singing a different tune about how important they are then.

I'm also not the one who brought up this topic yesterday. You did. You have a bone to pick with someone who does not believe the government or any private business should be mandating vaccines. And what's funny is you are clearly rattled by someone who you perceive as part of the working class.

Anyways. I believe you need to share your thoughts with the people in your company who you see as unskilled. Please feel free to do so.

Three things I have found out about you. You love masks, you love vaccine mandates and you hate service academy football.
My gawd... you've pulled @Rickyvol77 into this? You know he is a state authoritarian? He's going to place higher value on state/ govt officials than a janitor.

Calling China, Syria for help. Our own military is saying he's stalled. He's Saber rattling, threatening nuclear war. He's seizing property including trying to take over and keep his Mick D's open. You really should stay away from RT.

Not a lazy attack. Some of these people on here claim to be "big shots". They should have more important work to do than be on Volnation.
It's absolutely lazy. You have no clue what someone's work schedule is like. Nights, weekends, vacation time, taking a crap at work. My boss is the SVP of the org and she works the same amount of weekends I do. Which is half of them. You know what that means? I am off twice during the week. Like today for example.

K - this is being confirmed by others - Guys are being sent to the front without weapons and at best a single mag with 10 rounds of ammo. They are also not letting them leave and claims of using red cross insignia to sneak through, very dangerous to real aid workers - Ukraine propaganda is trying to deny it but seems likely to be true.

Guy in first video is talking about International Legion of Territorial Defense of Ukraine - Wikipedia

Yeah, how much do you want to bet that there are some Americans embedded with the Ukrainians in the east?

We will fair worse than the Russian people should a world wide economic collapse happen.
What are we so dependent on Russia for, other than oil, they don't produce anything critical that can't be sourced elsewhere. The Russian people will suffer much more that we will.

And this impacts the average Russian citizen, how?

Certified Nursing Assistants wouldn't be unskilled jobs. They require.......certification. Extra education that person has completed required for the job.

The pool of employees is vastly different despite how you view it. If you want to hire a server for example, there is no server school that is required to be completed. Restaurant hires a person and trains them themselves if they've never done the job. The amount of people out there is vast. Doesn't even need to have a high school degree. Whereas skilled jobs require certification/education in that specific field.
I never said CNAs were unskilled. I'm using them as an example because the work they do is vastly important in a hospital, nursing home, etc.

The amount of restaurant workers out there isn't as vast as you think. There is often a very high turnover associated with that industry. Which makes it very difficult at times if you are a restaurant owner or manager. Or even if you are a crew member.

I'll tell you what. If you really are a VP in healthcare and you think certain people that you are over are unskilled workers and your job is more important than them then please share your thoughts with those people. I bet if you do then you will be getting a call from HR and you won't have your position much longer.

If you really are a VP in Healthcare then that means you are a "company man". No wonder you are for these vaccine mandates.

It is not reasonable to ask or try to enforce people to get a vaccine. Period. It should be about individual choice when it comes to private healthcare matters. What if someone develops a long term side effect from that vaccine your company encouraged? Do you feel your company is responsible since you encouraged them and pushed them to get it?

Since you are not for vaccine mandates from the government then I take it you are against vaccine mandates of any kind towards government workers. Since that would be a government mandate. And I'm sure you were also against OSHA trying to make rules on regards on who should get the vaccine.

And there's no class envy here. I see everyone as equal. However, you don't. If you are a Christian perhaps you should dig into some scripture reading the rest of the week.
I'm so glad I have never had supervisor or anyone above me that displayed @Rickyvol77 level of condescension and disdain. He fits that typical sociopathic behavior that you would find in most cops.

We are a softer more dependent people who do not deal with hardships very well. We will be begging our .gov to take more control and power to "help" us while it will be the status quo in Russia. In the end we'll come out looking more like them than they do us.

I really have no problem with people being in here. As I'm on here myself some. However I have no problem taking a week off or longer.

And no it's not a lazy attack. If someone is a VP at an organization then they should have better things to do then try to argue with and insult other people on a message board.

And I don't think people are taking a crap at work 50 times a day either.

Correct, it will be the status quo in Russia which is what Ras can't seem to grasp along with the astronomical wealth of Putin. Have our government leaders benefited from being politicians? Absolutely, but so have millions of others not just a handful of his friends.

You are assuming they buy a lot of American and EU things - the rich no doubt have but most stuff is made in China these days and so they are simply going to replace anything they bought off of us with things made in Asia. Meanwhile they will sell the oil to them.

Fools dont realize with oil at $70 a barrel, something like 40% of Russia's government budget is paid for. Now that oil is over $100, what do you think that means?
