The “new” plates in Nashville/Brentwood/Franklin are different than the rest of the state. It’s weird. They look just like California plates…….even say California.

Lol.

There isn’t a license plate design that we wouldn’t complain about.

I'd like to see us do the old state shaped plates from the 30s-50s as an option. I'm sure they'd be more expensive to manufacture but I've seen them in various colors and they look really neat -- even the ones in clashing colors. The only plate I've seen that was more unique (in a good way rather than an 'omg, did they really design that?!' way) is the Northwest Territories license plate that Canada does that is shaped like a bear.

Or, they could have not trot out a deep blue license plate where no one can read the dang thing. Maybe the state is in cahoots with the paint business.
