My ticket were season tickets which are obviously costly but I just bought two random tickets off the street for the kids…. I could have gotten mine off the streets as well…. Once inside the stadium there are plenty of open gaps to sit in the stadium…. even for big games…. A key is to look on stub an hour before the game and if tickets didn’t sell then those seats are available…. We have brought several people with us to the games and sit all over the lower deck.

Less than$40? Nope. Factor in that many travel to Knoxville for games it's just not as easy as some think.

I've done the ow game a couple times because we travel.

This past season I bought two tickets to the usce game for me and my youngest from uttix. We drove over that morning, had lunch went to the game, drove home...3.5 hour 1 way drive Charlotte to Knoxville.

Tickets, upper bowl corner of the NE end zone, were $155 from the UT ticket office. Throw a tank of gas, food etc... Just for two of us it was $300 day... No hotel or dining out at night or adult beverages...

So I definitely don't buy the 'less than $40'.

Buying tickets to a game can be expensive. Good seats can cost 250each plus. Sometimes 4-500 each.

I live four plus hours away so I’ll never be a season ticket holder. But I always say I want to go to a game each year. Just waiting until we’re good enough to where I won’t have to spend 1k plus just to take my boys to watch us get blown out.

Last game I went to was in Charlotte where I spent about $500 to watch us get boat raced by WVU.

I’ll probably hit the Florida or Kentucky game this year.

Pricey but life is about experiences.

Same here. Live 6 hours away, and lucky to get one game a year. I don’t mind paying a bit more for great seats since we only make one game, but a weekend in Knoxville easily exceeds 2k for us to go see a game all said and done.

Think id just rather prank my HS/College buddies who decided to stay in hometown (that also post here).

One of the biggest issues for me is I have an 82” tv at home with a grill and a fridge full of beer/liquor. My wife and kids, for big games, decorate the living room in orange and they rock Vols gear (despite not really being as big of fans I am). My wife makes a spread and has no problem making me nachos and keeping my glass full. My game day experiences are amazing at home.

Still, there’s something about being in the stands and the energy from the crowd. I’d pay damn good money to be there when we beat Florida. Or better yet, Alabama (if ever).

I live in Shelby. so I have a long drive as well…. The convo was really about the smaller non-SEC or vandy game compared to the orange and white game….I think it cost us around 80 dollars for those three tickets…. Buying from the ticket office for individual day games is foolish, imo.

that was my question. How much did you pay on the street? Were they more than $10 each?

10 dollars or less on the street bc I’m willing to take any seat that they have….. the bigger games will cost more but you can still get some tickets around forty dollars or less bc you are willing to take the tickets they can’t get rid of…. Closer to gametime….. cheaper the price.
