Shartinez?^ 100%
AT was developed before CWM. TJ - same, along with gaining experience in the position that best suited him instead of S. The rest performed at borderline SEC level or less. There is SEC level talent back there that has to learn how to play as a unit. It does not matter if an individual or two can get it done. The unit is only as strong as its weakest links, such as Burrell. To not replace him at the first sign of trouble is criminal to winning games.
Better pass rush hides back end deficiencies. Did not have a good one. As a result, they ranked #122 at 273 YPG allowed on 300/489 completions/attempts. Some of the numbers are due to increased number of opponent possessions. Some of it is due to the secondary giving up a boatload of first downs on third and long.
We've seen this before with CWM secondaries. Hopefully, it has a different ending this time. I expect it to be inconsistent and want to be pleasantly surprised. If they can improve it to the #80 range - which is 35+ YPG less - that would probably add a W or two. If they did that I would relax a bit more about CWM and Banks' D play calling. Putting Burrell on an island as much as they did was just not the right thing to do. When you see a couple of times he blows his coverage and the officials playing for the other team - you have to change your coverages/calls because they did not have great S play to cover for bad CB play. Banks knew it after seeing it game after game as did CWM. Don't mind one bit that they play for quick three and outs, turnovers, and contain to FG's. Can't do that without good secondary play as a unit.
Got to get better.
The spring game reaches a different set of viewers.Absolutely love this. A win-win for everybody.
That makes it too much sense to happen.
Forces all P-5's to play a stronger schedule, which will help push the NC playoff to more teams.

We do have to get better but we also knew that we had weaknesses all over the field…. We performed better than I was expecting although no where near where to be to reach our goals..^ 100%

If other schools continue having them we cannot get rid of. It just is what it is. Unless all schools categorically nix them, aint happenin.O-W game shoulda been played at Nissan Stadium...or delay it a couple of weeks and have it in the brand spanking new Nashville SC stadium:

Not having it at all is sacrilegious and a missed recruiting opportunity.
