Which do you prefer , the ticket office says digital only for 2022 season .I have always liked going to the gate with ticket in hand , plus I keep my ticket stub and write on it who I attended the game with and the outcome.
Fortunately they do accept print at home tickets even if they say they don't.
I tried installing the pdf reader on my wife's smart phone - it still didn't work - maybe because it's an old smart phone, or maybe I'm just plain dumb.
I opened the e-mail on the desktop and printed them out - fortunately they let us in.

I’m all in on digital everything, but I’ve never understood why they don’t just send the tickets paperless and then let people do what they want. If they want a printed ticket, just throw a little artwork next to the barcode and let them print it out and use it.

At my age, I want paper. That way I can save the stub when we beat Alabama the next 4-5 years. Oh, and Georgia too.

People who forgot their paper ticket and left at home or wherever. My solution. When packing to leave for a game, I put my tickets in a button secured pocket of the clothes I plan to wear to the game. Either my jacket, shirt or pants.

People who experience dead phones. Long ago, I got a portable battery charger. Small enough to fit in a shirt pocket. The one I got several years ago was a MaxBoost. However, the newer INIU Portable charger (20,000mAh) is better now. I made sure it was fully charged 1-2 days before leaving and secured it in a pocket of the clothes I'd be wearing at the game. The way I see it, the Boy Scouts and the Mormon church had the right idea - Be Prepared.

Portable battery charger is the move. I need to get on that tip.

I'm old school as in still has a flip phone, so digital tickets don't do me much good.
Not for long, I'm being hounded by Verizon that my spare phone/line is an iPhone 5 that it won't survive their upcoming upgrade and that I need to get a new phone.

We get the digital, then I print the tickets out and tuck into the "clear bag"
Three games last year the sun was affecting the readers at our gate, and the paper tickets were the only thing scanning on the first try. Fortunately al lot of us are old and had them.

My other point would be if - for example - we were to beat Bama this year, I will leave with a crumpled ticket in my pocket. I might frame that bad boy to be honest.

I guess in theory you could print out the screenshot of a digital ticket, but it doesn't have the same feel.

Having that ticket would be like having a piece of the one true cross 😂

I prefer digital tickets with people young enough to process tickets @ the gate quickly. Had digital tickets for this week's basketball game, and had a poor old lady act like she's never done it before.

Why can't it be both. Have a simple printer at the stadium for anyone who wants a copy of their ticket printed after they go through security with the digital. You go up, scan your ticket in the machine, voila, out comes a printed ticket for collectors and such, make it 5 bucks or whatever.

Just got off the phone with the ticket office . They said the decision was made a week ago to be digital tickets only going forward . They also said the people that have already paid the 50 dollar process fee for paper tickets , would more than likely have to change their shipping options .

What was you first game? Also are they all home games you have been too? That's a lot man. 47 years of home games.

First game was 1979 vs Georgia Tech. We’ve had season tickets for 30+ years now.

A lot of away games, bowl games, championship games, Bristol, etc as well. The LSU game this year will finally make my 14th and final SEC stadium to watch the Vols play(Texas and Oklahoma soon). I’ve been to a few ooc stadiums to them play also such as Cal, Louisville, GT(2), Notre Dame(2), Memphis(3), Oklahoma, etc.

It’s my passion and I just love watching games in person, always will.

The website also says digital only - my comment above was in reference to a Lady Vol game a few weeks ago. Will they not accept print at home next season?
I hope that's not the case.
