This. So much this. Trump is a piece of garbage and the US was paying a disproportionate amount in NATO and the UN for what we were getting back. BOTH of these things are true.

Alberta tar sh!t is still making it's way to coastal refineries by way of train. It's not like ending the imminent domain seizure of property (which I thought was supposed to be a bad thing?) resulted in a net drop in production. Far from it.

There's a lot more moving parts involved than people either know about or want to think about. I personally choose speculators as my focus of choice.

Have to agree. There's far too much money going into markets and too little going into actual manufacturing. The tail is shaking the dog to pieces. The markets are supposed to complimentary tools to assist business - not insane entities that drive short term profits which destroy the businesses they rape.

I hesitate to post this because I don't want to contribute to panick buying but someone I know that works in a federal government facility told me they were called into an emergency security meeting. They were told to make sure your vehicles were full of gas and to have some cash on hand. I think they are preparing for a cyber attack that could affect our grid, and banking systems. They basically had shut that entity down from the internet only to leave the intranet going. This person tried to send an email to an outside account and it wouldn't go through. TIFWIW
