Considering I am old and in poor health, the military would not take me. As for others, it is a tough call. Do we put our own people in harm's way or do we wait and just supply arms.? We tired this in Europe in the last century and it didn't work. it still ended up with us on the ground there. Not sure this will end any differently. Putin appears to be set on slowing reestablishing the old USSR.

I’m conflicted, absolutely don’t want to get involved in another war, but at the same time I wonder if it will be worse if we delay and it becomes inevitable.

I don't see how delaying could make it worse. If we get involved it will be catastrophic regardless of when that is.
