War in Ukraine

This is exactly what the people really in power in America want, another excuse for us to go to war so the shareholders and big corporations can get richer in exchange for American lives. We will jump right in the middle as we always do and the corrupt garbage politicians and shareholders here will get richer and richer.
Name one person in Congress who has said we should be sending US troops into Ukraine.

You are missing the point :

1) Obama did not describe Putin's justification for invading Crimea as being "genius."

2). Biden did not describe Putin as "savvy", immediately following this latest act of Russian aggression.

Coming from a former American President, Trump's praise of Putin is bizarre. It just is. Words do matter. Trump continues to be an apologist for Vladimir Putin, and that doesn't make any sense.
I think that’s one of the biggest issues is that we think that words matter….. they don’t.

The Biden administration clearly expected this incursion to happen. Just a few days ago, Biden said that he believed it could happen at anytime. So, Biden did not actually believe that the threat of sanctions would deter Putin.

They know sanctions don't work. Harris is a fool.

Coming from most political officials? They don't.

Coming from a President/ former President? They absolutely do.

Trump refused to place responsibility for the Russian cyber-attack against American businesses in December of 2020 at Vladimir Putin's feet. That matters. Trump becomes curiously defensive whenever Russia is accused of an inappropriate level of aggression.

Trump made an observation about what putin did in the face of a weak regime. He's right, you invade when there is little risk of serious opposition from America.

It's praise, but not in the fact that he supports putin but he's giving credit to putin attacking because America has horrible leadership. He's calling Harris a fool and weak.

or we can just stay out of it. We wouldn’t be going to fight to be good people and protect Ukraine, that’s what they’d say we are doing but in reality it’s all about the rich getting richer. You really think the rich and powerful over here care about Ukraine? Please.

No, I don't but if I had to choose, I'll choose Ukraine all day. You think those corporations care about us? They care about blm and trannies.

Heh. Waaaaaay too early to write off Ukraine.

They've got 100-150K troops still out there. To date, it would appear they're ready to fight to the death.

If this becomes a protracted urban / guerilla war, Putin's in big trouble.
I’m sure there will be pockets of resistance, but if Russia controls the skies and power plants, it’s game over for the most part especially if the kill Zelinsky soon.

Russia's richest 22 billionaires lost $39 billion in one day after the invasion of Ukraine

Russia's 22 richest individuals saw their net worths plunge by a collective $39 billion in less than 24 hours after their country invaded Ukraine, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

The wealth wipeout came after Moscow's benchmark MOEX Russia Index crashed and closed 33% lower on Thursday.

The Russian billionaires lost more money on Thursday than they had lost year-to-date up until Wednesday, according to
Bloomberg.

No. That's not how it works with potential urban combat / siege of Kyiv. If the Ukrainians are willing to fight to the bitter end, tens of thousands of Russian troops will die.

None of this explains why Donald Trump declined to hold Russia responsible for the cyber-attack on American businesses from December of 2020, while his own regime was still in power. Trump publicly sided with Putin, against the publicly stated conclusion of his own Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo. That was bizarre.

Why does Donald Trump become so testy and defensive whenever Russia is accused of a cyber-attack against the United States? That doesn't make any sense.

As for this latest incursion into the Ukraine, a former American President should not be praising an authoritarian ruler, following a military attack on a sovereign nation, that is considered to be an ally of the United States.

If Donald Trump wanted to bash the Biden administration? Fine. Have at it.... but Trump should not have described Vladimir Putin's justification for this latest act of Russian aggression as being "genius." Nor should Trump have referred to Putin as "savvy."

It is ridiculous that you are defending this. There is no way in hell that the Republican members of this forum, would defend Bill Clinton, if he did the same thing.

The British might not fall due to their geography but I don’t think they’d be able to do much other than survive. God forbid Nukes are even considered.

I honestly thinks nukes will never be used unless there is a complete mad man that comes into play or as a complete act of desperation. Everyone knows the consequences.

I’m not a huge Trump fan but that is how he always handles adversaries…. He has talked up Russia some….. China some…. And also North Korea….Biden talks differently than trump about Russia and right now Russia is over there invading Ukraine……. That matters….. you can see how trump felt about Russia when he plainly told Germany not to do the pipeline deal with Russia…. That was something that also mattered.

I wonder how Russian citizens feel about this? I strongly doubt they’re too thrilled about it. Things in Russia could get ugly on that end as well
