Yep. I'm all for diversity and inclusion, at the end of the day I think it makes an organization stronger with varying points of view on execution.
However, the over-the-top reaction post Floyd is not helpful. In my company which is very large, it is starting to alienate non-protected employees and I have heard from more than one in the minority groups that they are actually offended at it. They don't know if the praise/kudos/jobs they receive is legit based on performance or if it is just placating because of their skin color, gender, sexual orientation, etc..
The irony is this over-correction has actually had the opposite effect on the protected class in some respects. With something like the military where the stakes are much higher than an HR department or stock price it can be and is dangerous.
I just wish everything could be color-blind and merit-based as opposed to achieving some quota or agenda.
That screenshot is from this article, nprYou know damn well that is not an accurate transcript of what Trump can be heard saying in that YouTube video. You conveniently left out the part where Trump described Putin's logic of referring to that portion of the Ukraine as independent "genius." You also left out the part where Trump said :
"I said how smart is that guy?"
and you misquoted the part where Trump said :
"Here's a guy who is very savvy."
Trump is happier than a pig in slop right now. And your post was a lie. You didn't quote it accurately at all.
I can give a little info. Prior to Peter and Catherine, Russia was a tertiary power in that region. Ukraine, Poland-Lithuania and Sweden were all equally if not more powerful in the years before the mid 18th century. I believe the kingdoms of Russia and Ukraine were unified on an on and off again basis during that period as well
