War in Ukraine

Trump was just praising Putin in an interview. This would have happened on his watch too. Biden is ineffectual, but I don't want us to take any military action and don't want to be involved.
You call it praising, Trump is calling it like it is and like he said would happen. He knows Putin is taking advantage of weak leadership in Biden. Trump doesn't pump sunshine and play nice guy like a polished politician who's looking to pull the wool over peoples eyes.

You really want to turn this on Trump, but even you have to look at the simple fact Putin stayed on his side of the border during the Trump years.

Putin is a bully and knows he can take Biden's lunch money without any problem.

It's hard for BB to construct a coherent response when his head is up Biden's anus 24/7 so it really isn't his fault. He is like the Rain Man is his autistic obsession over Trump

He likes to praise dictators. It has nothing to do with calling it like it is.

Ukraine is saying 18 Russian Air Force transports are on the way to make a combat jumps into the Kyiv airport.

I think the 'preparing to hit them hard' was propaganda. We eventually removed our missiles from Turkey and the Russians pulled theirs out of Cuba.
There are already five NATO countries on Russia's border. What's one more? But unless I missed it there was no move for Ukraine to join NATO; just Putin demanding guarantees that it will never happen.
I think there would have been a move eventually. Ukraine was becoming more Western facing under Zilenski. I think the big Issue is that we told Russia 30 years ago that we wouldn’t absorb former Soviet territory into NATO. I don’t know if it was Propaganda or not. I doubt we’d have let Cuba be heavily armed so close to us

"After former President Donald Trump was cut off during a call-in interview on Fox News Thursday night, he returned to the airwaves shortly afterward with a gaffe about the US military.

"You know what's also very dangerous is you told me about the amphibious attack by Americans," Trump mistakenly said on "The Ingraham Angle."

"You shouldn't be saying that, because you and everybody else shouldn't know about," Trump continued. "They should do that secretly, not be doing that through the great Laura Ingraham."

"No, those are the Russians," Ingraham replied."

That isn't true.

Your assertion that Vladimir Putin "stayed on his side of the border during the Trump years," doesn't account for the fact that Russia was fueling a war against Ukrainian forces in the Donbas region throughout Trump's presidency. The first post to this thread, by @Burhead from November of 2021, discusses that ongoing conflict.

If you remember, Donald Trump's first impeachment involved him withholding $400 million of Congressionally authorized military aid to the Ukraine, designated for their fight against Kremlin-backed rebels. This war has already killed over 13,000 people, even before this latest incursion by Russian forces. Putin is stepping up the level of intrusive aggression, but this conflict predates even Trump's presidency.
