The problem I have with Germany is they are a woke POS country that are closing all of their nuclear and coal plants down in order to buy natural gas from Russia. We need to pull our military from that country and let them spend a few bucks on their own defense.

The essay has nothing at all to do with Russian claims of genocide in Ukraine. If you don't want to read it, don't read it, but you're doing no one any favors by railing against strawmen.

You're exactly right, that is the case. And it's a convincing one, especially if you're Russian.

What sucks for Putin is that the countries he needs in his buffer want to do business with the West, not him. He isn't in a good spot even if his country wasn't in terminal demographic decline.

If he was smart, he would be building the buffer between China and Russia. United States, UK, and France have no desire to go out and conquer people.

The comments about France and Germany from 80 years ago are pointless, neither country has a desire to conquer Russia anymore (nor the means).

It really isn't even a good claim because no one in EU or NATO has any desire to invade or conquer Russia and no one really has the military power to do it either. It is really a very dumb argument by Putin and only small-brain people are buying it.

That part of the country is way more defensible than the Western part. He's got mountain and desert buffers in Western Russia and that gaps that do exist are smaller than the Western ones and can be plugged if necessary.

The Western part of his country, where everybody lives, just screams "invade me." He's acutely aware of this and it terrifies him.

They could if they want to relive WW2 conditions. The Europeans and the other western countries have been their own worst enemies. Here is an idea, let's offshore our manufacturing, steel, aluminum and every critical car part and see how that works out for us. I bet we can't even buy a casket today that isn't made of cheap ass steel.

EU/NATO doesn't want to invade or conquer it, but they would like to bring them onto their "team." Putin himself was open to this in the early 2000s, but ultimately decided he didn't want to be a bit player on someone else's team. He wants to run his own team.

But Siberia where his oil and gas reserves are wouldn't be much of a stretch for China to grab.

They'd still have to come over the mountains and through the desert to get there. There are still geographic gaps there as well, but they are far easier for Russia to plug than the gaps in the western part of the country.

Who is going to invade him? That is the entire point.

A ton of countries are vulnerable. Germany is vulnerable to attacks from France and Poland, Italy is vulnerable to France, Turkey is vulnerable to Iraq and Syria. You don't see these nations bitching about their old Empires, trying to invade their neighbors to make them buffers, etc.

Don't fall for his propaganda. Next he will be saying all Russians should be united into Russia and he needs is Lebensraum. I mean the guy is making arguments similar to Nazi Germany to justify aggression.

We either get drug into a potential war war 3 or the world watches us abandon two allies after leaving afghan to ruin and every on the fence ally such as the Philippines and turkey abandons us.

Our port and air base size drastically shrinks and we lose key strategic points. The world then goes of the petro almost immediately and our dollar crashes over night.

We are not set up as an export society so our economy collapses as our purchasing power withers.

So what do want to do, invade Russia? I'm all for it as long as you and you and your ilk lead the charge in front.
