Are you wanting to change the “context” of the first post you made that said something stupid about manufacturers advertising and producing guns to kill innocent people?

Now you are bringing in availability of product into the equation when I specifically said if an idiot stole one and started running over cars should the company that made that killing machine , which also shoots a projectile at a high velocity, be sued just like firearms mfg’s ? See the issue here is NOT product marketing or production to kill innocent people , it’s a lack of responsibility on one’s part to use the product for its intended purpose by the producer . You want to limit the product instead of fixing the root problem causing it .

There are tanks that have intended purposes that don’t include “firing projectiles with deadly force”.

I said the owner of the tank was liable, not the manufacturer.
But if the manufacturer flooded the market in a way where tanks could obviously not be kept safe by the millions of owners, then there would be some liability shifting to the manufacturer.

Interesting , so now we are going down the path of when a company is too successful in our capitalist society, they must be punished for other people criminal acts . Apple is not going to be please to hear about this at all when they find out how many times they are about to be sued for criminals misusing their iPhones .

What gun manufacturer advertises their products that promotes violence. I would argue Hollywood and video games promote the violence with firearms. Are you for Hollywood being held liable for gun violence?

And a teacher was expertly taught to instill knowledge into our kids that they need to be successful in life . Tanks were designed to blow up stuff with explosive projectiles , iPhones were designed to send and receive information .. none were produced with the intent to kill innocent people . That’s all on the criminals .
