And Biden, as President, could not have changed the terms of that?? No, he owns it Monty. He was the Commander in Chief at that moment. Honestly, I wish Obama had told Karzai after we got Bin Laden, “you have 365 days to get your s*** in a pile and we’re out.” That is not blaming Obama at all btw.

Man, if you can’t admit that Biden F’d up a withdrawal, that’s your problem. I’ve always maintained we should have blown the hell out of Al Quaeda, the Taliban, nailed Bin Laden and gtfo. We should NEVER nation build. So yeah, I hold W accountable too. Already said what I wished Obama would have done. Charlie Wilson said it best, “In the end, we (Biden - this time) f****d up the end game.” Damn right I blame him for that cluster of a withdrawal. Most everyone does.

I said evacuate - not leave permanently. An orderly Afghan withdrawal wouldn't have required evacuation - it would have been just leaving. The take over by the Taliban necessitated an evacuation. Likewise we had to evacuate our Ukrainian embassy.

Was telling a friend earlier today this will be blamed for the market crash coming. Inflation through the roof, way higher than the reported 7.5%. Rates will need raised at a bigger rate and faster. Add in Fed selling assets and tapering. All that alone will drop the markets considerably but now they have something to blame it on.

This is such a never let a crisis go to waste moment. So manipulative..Sure the NYSE will feel the pain, but we do almost no trade with Russia.
