To Protect and to Serve II

You have never found a naked toddler running nude down the street in the cold because their mom is passed out on drugs. You have to investigate these calls
I got that very call one night at work from a neighbor. She had my daughter and my husband was flat out stoned at home with the door wide open. I woke him up and asked him where his daughter was. I let him panic for a minute or 5 before I told him she was at the neighbors.
I didn’t need cps or the police to handle it. I handled it. He became my ex husband after more than a few incidents. But that’s another story and 35 years ago.

He was 2 and gone for half hour the first time this happened and a different family called 911. Dcs was called again apparently for a similar incident last year when he was 3 and now at 4 another incident. At what point would you consider it an issue that needs to be looked at?
Oh, it is a problem. But is it a police matter? Is the solution to put the mom in jail?

So putting her in jail is the best option? Sort of like putting a father in jail for being behind on child support?

Some of you people have a twisted way of thinking.
I’ve never understood why they would put someone in jail and further hinder their ability to work. It’s like a bank charging overdraft fees. Yes please take some more of what I already don’t have.

I get it... there are bad parents out there. But we have to get away from this idea that jailing people is the solution to every ill in America.

Mixed feelings on this. I think they should receive some find of punishment for enforcing a "law" that they themselves are breaking. We gotta hold cops to a higher standard and this is just unacceptable behavior. But on the other hand, 40 years? Well, lets back up... these women likely won't get close to 40 years, but lets roll with that anyways. All these cops were doing is filling a need... engaging in some entrepreneurship. I say fire them from the job and maybe something lightweight since they were cops that broke "the law". Maybe a stiff fine and/or a year in jail.

Looks like the Canadians are getting ready to go full libtard authoritarian on the protestors. This could all be fixed if the politicians would just give up on their stupid vax mandates, or in the very least sit down and talk with them.

The protesters still think the police are their friends and allies. Disgusting bootlicking... shaking their hands or giving them a hug.

5 cops showed up to arrest this mom. Imagine if this would have been a big drug dealer instead of what appears to be a 110 lb working mom? SWAT would have been needed.

The neighbor that called the cops, the cops themselves and the DA sound like pieces of human debris.
which time? As this was the third time this toddler went missing from the home in two years. Also how do you know “five cops showed up to arrest this mom”

it really doesn't matter if it was the 100th time the kid got out. No need for 5 cops to be sent to arrest the mom. I am sure 3 or 4 of them could have been arresting some drug dealer or person that refused to wear a mask at a restaurant.

From the video I just posted, the mom said that's how many showed up when she was arrested, booked and mug shot.

Again what makes you think 5 cops were there to arrest the woman

Also, you still don't see the issue with arresting the mom, do you? Who will watch the kids while the mom is in jail?

Is it beginning to click in that cop skull yet?

Just like arresting "dead beat" dads. If you put them in jail and they lose their job, how will they pay child support? (I put "dead beat" in quotes because there are plenty of dads that pay child support but can't pay enough of the exorbitant amount that the state requires, so they are no different than the dads that don't pay anything and called "dead beat")
