In no way do I mean to pile on, because (to me) there’s Pink Floyd and then there’s everybody else and it’s not even close, but WTAF man. I’m legit gonna need some time to fully process that one buddy, lol.

STP was a great show. Saw them on my birthday once, they were the headliner, Staind before them, with a little opening band called Linkin Park.

My old boss has the most tortuorus story...

For his 18th he could have seen Floyd or...the Stones...

Now remember the Stones are still playing...30 years later and he could have seen them at any point. Well, this just happened to be Floyd's last tour together, not just Waters or whatever else.

And of course he chose Stones...because, "they might never play together again" 😅🤣😂

Brutal. He's heartbroken to this day.

Anybody excited for the Olympics? I've been a little meh this year. Usually I'm pumped for them .
Winter? Hell no.

There's the World Cup next and then Summer Olympics again.

Guess I've never cared about Winter Olympics. Good for Canadians, Nords, and Russians. Considering half of the world never sees snow, it seems sort of silly and exclusive.

Just heard that @SweetasSoda is in the hospital with Covid pneumonia. Remember her in your prayers

My thoughts and prayers are with you @SweetasSoda. I went to the hospital last Saturday with the same thing, COVID pneumonia. Spent 5 days in there on oxygen, steroids and antibiotics. Was sent home with oxygen and meds. Oxygen will be your friend. Hardest part is all the coughing. I am still fighting this thing…it is a booger.

Trying to do anything without the oxygen wears me out in no time. Just climbing the stairs is exhausting.

On top of anything you may be prescribed, let me suggest 4 additional things. 1) Ibuprofen - you may get headaches accompanied by cold hands and feet. Or, you may get headaches from all the coughing. Ibuprofen helps. 2) Zinc Lozenges - horse sized tablets that you let dissolve in your mouth (don’t recommend chewing). These helped alleviate a lot of the coughing. 3) A nebulizer - for both Budesonide and Albuterol (prescriptions required). And do a lot of breathing exercises even though it causes more coughing. I was a slow learner. 4) A nasal rinse.

This is going to take a lot of time to get over. Be patient. Hopefully your recovery is quicker than mine.

Had COVID pneumonia last year and spent a week in the hospital. It was miserable. Still get short of breath really easily.

Dark Side of the Moon

And

De-Loused in the Comatorium

For my money, Mars Volta had some of the most amazing concept albums...absolute voyages for the free mind. Rush and David Bowie too. Floyd is obvious. Not familiar with yours but will check it out.

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Grammy Award winning...

IGOR

A masterpiece of a concept album and he played the part for over a year during his tour. Videos to accompany the whole story. A fully encompassing art concept beyond just the music. Pretty amazing, beyond just an EPIC album.

And all from little, childish heathen Tyler...pretty amazing how he's grown into one of the greatest, and quite mature, producers of our time. Recently heard Adele was heavily influenced by him for her newest album. That's saying something.

My favorite song is Pink Floyd - Time. Can't think of a bad time for that song to play. Id be fine doing anything of significance during the solo.
The way it floats into Great Gig in the Sky with the wailing...my goodness.

Been listening to that portion of the album a lot recently. It is magical.

UT adjacent story...I became obsessed with DSOTM while at UT and for one semester I had the monstrous walk up to The Hill and would listen to Time on my way up the thousand stairs. It felt so apropos.

Also the remake by Flaming Lips. Saw them perform all of DSOTM at Bonnaroo too...pretty freakin awesome. With Henry Rollins accompanying. Speaking of great concept album creators...Flaming Lips.
