How is it creepy? She’s a public figure. If I was being “creepy” I could’ve posted some of the bikini pictures that she has plastered all over her social media accounts.

She’s not. She’s a 24 or 25 year old low level university employee. If she’s guilty of what’s she’s being accused, she’ll be fired from her job and most likely never work in a college setting again.

I suspect you already know why it’s creepy. If you don’t have enough character to feel shame, that’s on your parents. But if you don’t know why, you’re far too stupid for me to waste my time trying to explain.

It would be MUCH more creepy if her social media accounts weren’t wide open for the world to access suggestive or otherwise inappropriate photos of her.

As it stands right now, apparently this young woman doesn’t care who has access to information that could further damage her reputation.

It boggles my mind how kids today don’t think twice about voluntarily posting information about themselves that could be used against them.

Perhaps that young lady’s parents failed her in that regard.

I'm just intellectually honest enough to recognize it and have enough character to feel remorse about it when I do, rather than trying to rationalize the objectification of a young woman online and permanently destroying her reputation over internet rumors as, "she's a public figure." Especially when she's not.

Sorry your Dad was a failure in instilling any decency in his son. Maybe it wasn't his fault though, maybe your Grandfather was a ****** male role model too. It sounds like you'll carry on the family tradition though.

I don't get it either, it's an unfortunate trend. And maybe they did fail her in that regard, or maybe she just didn't heed their lessons.

Either way, that's a strawman argument and it doesn't justify the cyberbullying against her. It's the "she had it coming from by the way she was dressed" defense.

There's a clip from the Late Show that went viral today. I'm usually not a Colbert fan, I think he has a habit of falling into that political comedy trap of making lame jokes that appeal to a specific audience for cheap laughs, even though the material is weak. But here, he makes some really insightful comments and repeats a great quote from the poet Robert Hayden.
“We must not be frightened not cajoled into accepting evil as deliverable from evil. We must go on struggling to be human, though monsters of abstractions police and threaten us.”



At any rate, sorry (not sorry) to bring down the mood. Auburn can aww Burn to the ground for all I care. I just can't but feel empathy for the young girl who's reputation has been permanently smeared based on internet judgement and creepy old dudes.

I agree. I just don't get the desire to constantly share the details of your life with strangers. Of course, occasional posts on VN and annual Christmas cards to friends is about the extent of my social media presence, so I am probably an outlier.

I could have posted more risqué phots of her, but chose not too. In hindsight, that was probably a good decision on my part, as you would have probably stroked out upon viewing them.

Did you consider the idea that she wants everyone to see the pictures? If all of this is actually true, who’s the person that has benefited the most in the past few days ? Not Harsin. Maybe Auburn? Maybe Harsin’s wife monetarily long term? Definitely the the very attractive girl that works for Auburn, whose Instagram and Twitter accounts are wide open and that everyone is talking about on social media and in message boards. If she didn’t have an agent 2 days ago she has 50 banging down her down her door trying to represent her now.
