A lot of the problem is pension funds going into the market - simple supply and demand. In this case so much cash was always naturally going to drive stock prices up. Looks great while it works and there's a lot of money to be plundered from time to time by industrial sized investors. The reality is that investment markets are still the place with the best return for pension funds despite the perils. At some point, if the number of people in the workforce is really true and decreasing especially if it is the baby boom leaving the job market, the input vs withdrawal from the markets may flip. The laws that we think of in physics will apply at some point - what goes up must come down and perpetual motion doesn't exist ... there really is no free lunch.

I have worked directly with many social workers…. It makes me laugh thinking about them dealing with some of these issues.

It's as much BS as blaming him for the current inflation is BS.
If you blame him for inflation, you should credit him for the job growth.
