Forgive Student Loans?

Seriously? Most days in the past 2-3 years has been a maga convention. Most even excused the trillions handed out, and the more promised, but now are against it. It's funny to watch the switch

What would that be specifically?

My fiancé is going through this. Paying $500/month on an original loan amount of $25K from 20 years ago. Some of her issues are of her own making, but a huge problem is the loan providers like Nelnet changing policies at the drop of a hat and failing to honor previously agreed upon terms.

What trillions handed out were supported by conservative posters?

Trump ran up a $Trillion deficit his first year didn’t he? I’m pretty sure he did at least one year. Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t remember a lot of hate towards him from the fiscal conservatives in here.

Ok. I don’t see them suggesting we correct one wrong by committing another one.
They're not even suggesting we correct one wrong. My point is that if choosing between money to corp friends or to citizens then I choose the people

He added almost $7T during his one term

I don’t like either of those choices. Plenty in here don’t.

This is quite silly, “the people” work at these corporations.

Covid relief and the trillions more promised. Of course when Biden does it then it's bad govt. A Dem in office really brings out the fiscal conservatives
It's one of many reason I laugh when they bash Biden for inflation. You don't think the lasts guys policies caused this too? It's nuts. Two peas in a very similar pod.

There we go..I was just about to post it...I dont know what to say about this unprecedented gov shutdown of lives and such. Nothing I am happy about for sure and dont condone or reject it. There are degrees

And the corps kept the money. Even ones flush with cash didn't send it down the line, bought back stock, etc. It was a complete sham between the feds and their benefactors

You mean they just passed Go and went straight to Boardwalk?

It was a sham. We don’t need to pile more on.

I spoke against it many times...and think the military needed increased funding so our pilots are not still flying 40 YO F-15 and F-16's, training and such. Trump compromised as Congress holds the power of the purse. Fiscal conservatism is just one aspect of conservatism. Good luck finding the unicorn candidate that meets all ones litmus tests

Not this guy. I liked Trump, but he needed to be more fiscally conservative. He is a guy with a lot of stones, but went along with the lock downs. In hind sight, he should have said that any state that locks down gets zero federal funds. Shutting down the economy was 100 percent stupid by both parties.

We spend significantly more then any country in the world on it. It's not even close. They don't need more. They need to learn how to better spend what they have and hold contractors accountable for their performance

I get no candidate meets all ones litmus tests. But if you voted for Trump you at the very least didn’t put this high enough on your priority for a candidate.

Candidly though, I get it. None of them would have been really fiscally responsible in practice.

My opinion, third party libertarian was the best option because they at least don’t have the track record.

I just find it hard to swallow when people rail about this stuff but keep casting a vote for the same yahoos to do it all over again.
