Are we really setting the bar this high for a player like Tyler Baron? I think this market is due for a correction in a year or 2 or I'm out of touch w where the floor is for players and their NIL deals.

I disagree...I think RG knows his value far better than I do. I thought he was somewhat over-rated to begin with. I think a lot of the blowup here over Verse is because of people like you that went all in on his rating.

Disclaimer...I am not saying I didn't want the player, just that I don't think he is worth all the overwrought VN teeth gnashing his going to FSU caused.

Notice we took West from them....that should tell you something about his valuation.

Yes, our fans seem very intent on making us the next Tennessee, going from failed quickfix to quickfix, constantly running off everyone before they can unpack their bags. Not sure what you all think you're accomplishing but if you get your wish and run off coaches in their first year, no one of quality will ever come to the Plains unless it's coaching on the other sideline. I swear our fans really are determined to burn the school to the ground to satisfy their "told you so" mentality.

Not commenting on Auburn in particular, but I think every fan base has those 'fans' who would rather the team lose so they can be 'right' than they win and be 'wrong'. They fill forums and message boards with their doom and gloom, they're mentally exhausting to tolerate, and I abhor their existence. They seem to live to drag you down to their level of misery.

His first OC didn’t work out. He couldn’t get along with and retain our DC. The new OC he hires leaves after 43 days. I don’t have a lot of confidence in the guy

I saw on another thread where it was "strongly recommended" that he hired Bobo and Mason as his first coordinators. I'm not sure how true that is, but knowing the Auburn boosters, I wouldn't be surprised.

Bobo and Mason were the de facto “SEC guys” that were supposed to help Harsin transition to the SEC in play and recruiting. The only problem is we forgot coaching involves more than name recognition and those dudes sucked in their previous roles.

And if Harsin wasn't too fond of being "heavily persuaded" to take coaches that he didn't want to begin with, then it was a recipe for disaster before the season even started.

His first OC was a force hire by the boosters. Firing the DC was the right move. He did not look good and we now promoted the guy that called the Alabama game. Austin Davis leaving is just random as hell. I don’t put that on Harsin. Hiring NFL talent is always the right move not his fault Austin wimped out.

I’m just hoping this basketball high can last until December

Feel bad for Calzada and Ashford, came to auburn with this guy as one of if not the biggest reason and he bolts after barely a month on the job. A dick move if I’m being honest

Boise fans we very steadfast in two things. Harsin is a mediocre coach and that he is an ass that is hard to work for. I thought maybe it was just being bitter their coach left but everything is pointing to them being right.

It sucks that ATL got ran off...he could and probably would have made that happen
