President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

How come Congress and the media doesn't ask such obvious questions? Just like REM. What about multifamily housing? They gonna put 230V outlets in parking lots and out front of the project housing?
Hell,,,we gonna have to unchord our clothes dryers to charge the EV? Being somewhat facetious, but every home will need a 230V breaker on their panel for such.

Insider trading maybe? There's money to be made when you try to force transitions and in chaos when you screw it up. A few people profited on covid; most didn't do well at all ... and most of us aren't through losing yet - even if inflation is good for us.

So the US public is just forced to say OK? I dont get it...there should be hard questions asked by someone.

Well that's usually where and how it goes for the rest of us when politicians have their say. Although we intransigent fools don't tend to bend over as easily as libs and countries where leftists absolutely rule.

This is nothing but humiliation of our government officials...disgraxceful. Biden should say NO and we just will not visit. But he is too much a puss.

I think it has a lot to do with professions. People in a profession tend to understand limitations and problems. A lot of people think electric power comes from a plug in the wall and have no interest in thinking deeper. The only articles that seem to bring up some of the power issues are just beginning to hit the "news", and mostly because utilities are trying to limit the economic damage solar generation is causing them. When it was amateur hour and costs were limited, it was one thing; but widescale and growing solar generation is becoming more disruptive to people who have to keep the lights on 24/7.

If it is just "hitting the news" about the power companies...wait until the ordinary citizen realizes he has to spend thousands to install new power circuits in their homes...if even possible. Absolutely macroeconomic policy with microeconomic implications that will not be able to be addressed without dare I say trillions by home and business owners. Think about it....every address will need power sources for these EV's. Hotels, apartments, where you work if you have any service fleet..It absolutely blows my mind...

This is what trickle down actually means.

First time seeing this - Trump with a higher favorability rating than Biden (they've been tied for a couple weeks and prior to that Biden was ahead)

There are leftists that will vote for Biden no matter what. They don't care how bad it gets and we know the democrat party has made this country exponentially worse over the last several years. From the fake collusion stories, to racial division, to porous borders, to getting soliders killed due to bad judgement, increased crime, inflation, mandates, lockdowns, etc.

Sounds like a death cult to me

Just to be sure and trigger our resident Libs I’ll point out he’s got the highest approval rating on that list 😂

Reality about EVs is setting in. Due to distances covered and "refills", EVs aren't looking so popular in the US. Too bad when people promote them they aren't honest enough to admit they aren't pollution free - the pollution source is just moved from your tail pipe to another point. There's going to be some real head scratching in a few years if/when industry comes back to the US and especially if EVs do become a significant portion of the cars on the road because the power grid isn't going to be up to it without fossil fuels. We are way into plant life extension on almost all of nuclear power, and there are virtually no replacements in sight. The other big issue is that solar can put out significant amounts or power, but there's no real storage scheme. That's extremely disruptive without NG for peaking when solar is offline - nuclear and other large plants are good for baseload - not so much for peaking, and idle power plants of any kind are expensive. People are gonna love it when that "free" solar power drives up electric rates.

Everyone I know that’s had an EV dumped it for gas when it came time to replace the batteries.

What are they 7K-20K? How long they last..Obviusly performance degrades over time. You might get 300 miles charged new...100 miles 3 years later.

That reminds me..my car started just that little bit of sluggish this morning. You can always tell as it doesn't have the snap..5 year old car, so better get that replaced before I need a jump.
Hope batteries are not short supply

They are available but very expensive. I’ve bought 2 in the last 3 months

Just for sh!ts and giggles I looked up what my 2018 F150 was worth according to NADA and KBB. According to them, it's worth more than I paid for it 4 years ago. Of course if I bought something new, it would cost me $20k over MSRP, so there's that.

We sold our 2018 Nissan NV200 van for $2k more than we bought it last year 🤣

A friend of mine’s daughter had a Chevy volt(bolt). Not sure what model it was or how long the batteries lasted but he said the cost to replace them was like $6k so she just traded it for a gas guzzler.
